California Senator and top Democrat candidate for the presidency in 2020, Kamala Harris, had her office refuse a courtesy call from the White House about the Supreme Court nomination.
White House Counsel Don McGahn called each member of the Senate Judiciary Committee as a courtesy to discuss the confirmation process in the hours leading up to President Trump’s announcement that he had chosen Brett Kavanaugh to fill the vacant seat of retired Justice Anthony Kennedy.
Harris’ office is the only one to have refused the call.
According to McGahn, the senator’s chief of staff rejected the call saying flat-out, “We want nothing to do with you.”
Remember when members of the Democrat party used to tout their ability to reach across the aisle? Yea, neither do we. But they sure liked to pretend that’s how things worked during the Obama administration, didn’t they?

Harris showed just how closed-minded she is, declaring she would vote ‘no’ to Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination within 20 minutes of the announcement, adding that his addition to the Supreme Court represents “a direct and fundamental threat to the rights and health care of hundreds of millions of Americans.”
“Judge Kavanaugh has consistently proven to be a conservative ideologue instead of a mainstream jurist,” she added in a statement.
“Judge Brett Kavanaugh represents a direct and fundamental threat to (the) promise of equality, and so I will oppose his nomination to the Supreme Court.”
Trump’s Supreme Court Justice nominee, Judge Kavanaugh, represents a direct and fundamental threat to the rights and health care of hundreds of millions of Americans. I will oppose his nomination to the Supreme Court. #SCOTUSpick

Harris is a far-left ideologue, and as such, should have no business being considered as a potential candidate for the Presidency. She places her party and their extremist platforms above the well-being of the American people.
She’s a first-class hypocrite as well. The woman who refuses to even discuss a Supreme Court nomination today, said such actions are “an unprecedented abdication of constitutional duty” just two years ago.
What’s the difference between then and now? The Supreme Court nominee was Obama’s pick, Merrick Garland.
“Judge Merrick Garland is a well-qualified legal mind, and the Senate should swiftly take up his nomination,” she said. “Refusal by the Senate to even consider his nomination would be an unprecedented abdication of constitutional duty, and maintaining a vacancy on the court for many months would create an enormous void and uncertainty for our justice system.”
Now replace ‘Garland’ with ‘Kavanaugh’ in that statement.
NEW: @realDonaldTrump or WH counsel Don McGahn had reached out to each Senate Judiciary Committee member, including Democrats. The only senator who refused to talk to the WH was Kamala Harris, per Snr WH official. “ We want nothing to do w/ you,” her office said, per WH aide.

It’s time Harris stop grandstanding, stop ‘abdicating her constitutional duty,’ and get to work on behalf of the American people.
Should she ignore that advice, no matter, she won’t be needed for Trump to garner enough votes to get Kavanaugh confirmed. Perhaps after that, the White House could refuse her phone calls.
