Sara Gonzales, a reporter for The Blaze, attended a public event for Beto O’Rourke in Texas on March 6. While there, as she and others in the room recorded the Irish-Mexican-wannabe-candidate-for-Governor. A Beto staffer allegedly grabbed her phone and as she tried to hang on to it, a Dallas Policewoman allegedly grabbed her so hard she nearly fell down the stairs.
Earlier today, I attended a Beto O’Rourke townhall. I started to record an interaction between Beto & a constituent while he was taking pictures. His staffer grabbed my phone & tried to pry it out of my hands, then a DPD officer manhandled me unprovoked. Beto is NOT for TX.

She is filing a formal complaint with the Dallas Police Department Internal Affairs, and a police report for assault by the Beto Staffer.

Filing the police report against the staffer for the battery she committed comes tomorrow as it must be done in person.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Sara says that she was never informed of any policy for not taking photos or recording during the event. She also stated that others were recording during the event. The difference may be that she was recording his interaction with a constituent instead of him speaking from the stage. But she is correct that many were already recording and snapping pictures. The public event also was being videotaped (note cameras in the back of the room.)
Beto O’Rourke is well known for several things, one of which is his hate for the Second Amendment. Remember the statement “Hell, yes we’re going to take your guns.” Not sure that’s a particularly popular thing in Texas.
