It’s become quite clear that liberals want violence against President Donald Trump. On Thursday, “The View” co-host Sonny Hostin echoed comments made by former Vice President Joe Biden and asked, “Why hasn’t anybody taken [Trump] out back and kicked his little butt?”
Her fellow co-hosts didn’t seem to be very amused by her question, even though the audience seemed to love it.
Meghan McCain responded: “He has Secret Service! He’s the president of the United States. You want somebody to take him out back and beat the crap out of him?!? That’s not reality!”
Joy Behar, who recently apologized after attacking Vice President Mike Pence’s Christianity, pleaded with Hostin to say she really didn’t mean to advocate violence against Trump.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
“Say, ‘I didn’t mean it,'” she told Hostin.
Hostin, however, stood by her comment: “I mean, I wish somebody would stand up to the President!”
Even Whoopi Goldberg tried to get Hostin to back down.
“Here’s what’s going to happen to your behind: The Secret Service is going to call you,” she said.
Hostin, however, didn’t take her advise, prompting Goldberg to announce: “We’re trying to help you! Stop! Don’t talk about it! Moving on! Moving on!”
Writing at Newsbusters, Scott Whitlock said:
The discussion grew out of Joe Biden and Trump trashing each other. Hostin, unsurprisingly, seemed to like Biden’s threat, finding it a “chivalrous” defense of women.
You would think that the women of The View might be a bit more careful with their language. Apparently not with Hostin.
As we reported earlier, Biden told a group of College Democrats that he would like to take Trump out and “beat the hell” out of him, which prompted Trump to respond.
“Crazy Joe Biden is trying to act like a tough guy,” he tweeted. “Actually, he is weak, both mentally and physically, and yet he threatens me, for the second time, with physical assault. He doesn’t know me, but he would go down fast and hard, crying all the way. Don’t threaten people Joe!”

Sadly, it seems that threats of violence are all the left has these days. One has to wonder — do leftists really want a second bloody civil war over the president? More and more, it sure sounds like they do.
