Obamas set to produce Netflix propaganda series about alleged dysfunction in Trump administration

Despite vowing never to use the platform for criticism of the President, Barack and Michelle Obama are set to produce a television series for Netflix that will focus on dysfunction in the Trump administration.

The former President and First Lady have acquired rights to adapt the book The Fifth Risk into a series as part of their multi-year deal with Netflix.

The book, authored by Michael Lewis, is a New York Times bestseller that imparts stories about administration appointees who are described as “completely unprepared for their jobs.”

The publishing company describes the book with the opening statement: “What are the consequences if the people given control over our government have no idea how it works?”

Netflix = Obama Administration

The movie streaming company Netflix is practically overrun by the Obama administration currently, featuring contracts with Barack and Michelle, as well as the inclusion of former National Security Adviser and Ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, to their Board of Directors.

In May, Netflix announced that they had signed the Obamas to a multi-year deal to produce “scripted series, unscripted series, docu-series, documentaries, and features.”

The power couple were contracted by Netflix to provide exclusive content on the service, giving them a massive audience to the tune of 118 million subscribers.

Vowed to Not Attack Trump

At the time of their signing, reports indicated that the Obamas had no intention of using Netflix shows to respond directly to President Trump or Republicans in general. They were simply to provide “an unfiltered method of communication with the public.”

Obama would not “wage a public campaign against his successor,” the New York Times wrote.

The Political Insider saw through that facade rather easily, predicting “the former narcissist-in-chief doesn’t have it in him to avoid going after Trump or trying to defend his own crumbling legacy.”

It’s good to see the Obamas haven’t lost their knack for lying to the public, even as their legacy fades away.

Conservatives Respond to Netflix

Following the signings of Susan Rice and the Obamas, conservatives displeased with the hiring of people whose biggest contribution to the entertainment industry up until that point had been fabricating a story about a YouTube video causing a terrorist attack, began canceling their subscriptions.

Their approval ratings amongst Republicans plummeted in the months following the signings, though we’re quite certain any company intertwined with Hollywood doesn’t give a rip about their conservative viewers.

Here’s An Idea

Upon hiring the Obamas, Ted Sarandos, chief content officer for Netflix, said the former First Family “are uniquely positioned to discover and highlight stories of people who make a difference in their communities and strive to change the world for the better.”

If that’s the goal, perhaps they should scrap the series on disorder in the White House and instead produce a documentary on President Trump and his success in bringing back the American economy, destroying ISIS, providing tax cuts to the Middle Class, and producing historically positive job numbers for minority communities?
