A lovely Spring afternoon, a romp in a Texas park with your kids, what could be more relaxing? It certainly wasn’t this day in Benbrook, Texas, where a women took issue with a man’s pro-gun t-shirt and accosted the patrons of the park about his attire.
Troy Johnston and his two young daughters stopped at Castle Park so they could enjoy the park’s swings and maze. It only took about 30 minutes before people began coming up to him to advise that a woman was freaking out over his pro-gun t-shirt. Now, keep in mind that he was also open carrying a gun in a holster on his hip. But she had an issue with the t-shirt.
It read: “I’ll control my guns, you control your kids,” and had the image of an AR-15 on it.

Blue Lives Matter, reported,
“Approximately 30 minutes after the kids began playing, a man approached him with his wife and daughter in tow, Johnston said.
He said the man told him that a woman was “fuming” over the message on Johnston’s shirt, as well as the fact that he was armed.
“I thanked him for letting me know, and continued playing with my kids,” Johnson said.
A short while later, another man and his family approached Johnston, and asked to read his shirt, he said.
Johnston showed him his shirt, at which point the man warned him that his father-in-law had just been harassed by woman in the parking lot, and that she was contacting police regarding Johnson’s attire.
The man told Johnston that he didn’t know “what was wrong with her,” and that he actually “felt more secure knowing there was someone there that would protect them,” Johnston said.”
Johnston waited for the police to arrive.
When they did, they told him that they were responding to a report of a “suspicious man” who had a gun “holstered to his chest.”
?????? “Holstered to his chest?” Good Grief.
“She was not scared of the gun. [She] was concerned about his t-shirt…Johnston advised he knew the police had been called, and was waiting to speak with officers. He was simply at the park playing with his two daughters.” Benbrook Police Report of the incident
As Johnston spoke with police, the distraught woman stood about 20-30 feet away and accosted everyone who was at the park, telling them not to come there because there was a “man with a gun.”
He was allowed to leave because he had done absolutely nothing wrong. We suspect the woman had to take anxiety meds after the “scary” encounter, and probably told everyone she knew and then some about the moment she saw a man with a gun.
This story illustrates how completely messed up this fear of guns – and everything else – is in America. We thought it was bad when people couldn’t tell the difference between a tiger and a raccoon, but terrified over a t-shirt is idiotic. And it’s Texas for pete’s sake.
These t-shirts would probably have caused even more ruffled feathers:

- Liberals freak out; prep for ‘Trumpocalypse’ – cling to guns, pussy…
