There was a time in her life when young Jackie Evancho was invited to sing for Barack Obama.
No. Make that twice.
At the tender age of 10, Evancho was the runner-up on “America’s Got Talent.” On the heels of her introduction to a national audience, she was promptly invited to sing for Obama and the nation at the National Christmas Tree Lighting in 2010.

Not long thereafter, Evancho was invited to perform for Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast in 2012.
Evancho performing Nessun Dorma, best known to many by being featured in the soundtracks of such films as The Killing Fields, New York Stories, The Sum of All Fears, Bend It Like Beckham, and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.
As published by People magazine, what the opera prodigy recalls of her experience, “I remember that I got a lot of applause and that everyone was really impressed…”

The young girl with the big voice was recently invited to sing the National Anthem at the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 45th president of the United States.

Evancho has released six albums, including a platinum and gold album and an impressive three Billboard 200 top 10 debuts in the course of her short career.
Boris Epshteyn, Director of Communications for the Presidential Inaugural Committee, told Independent Journal Review in a statement:
“We’re delighted to have Jackie Evancho performing the National Anthem at the 58th Presidential Inaugural Ceremony. As the youngest solo artist to ever go platinum, she is a true role model and inspiration for people young and old in our country and around the globe. Jackie represents the best and the brightest of America.”
