The Biden administration plans to put Vending Machines (kiosks) in rural Kentucky that will be filled with drug supplies for addicts. They call it “Harm Reduction.” The National Institutes of Health (NIH) approved a $3.6 Mllion grant to test the program. (Daily Caller) The NIH grant was appproved in August to “reduce the stigma” of drug addiction without having to talk to a person face to face. How about just plain reducing drug addiction?
The administration also gave crack pipes to users in some of those “safe drug” areas of Boston while far left media tried to fact check it to say no they didn’t. Actually, they did, according to the New York Post. That was earlier this year. The story derailed Biden from his drug policy temporarily due to major backlash. Now the “Harm Reduction” plan for Kentucky includes kiosks that dispense supplies for addicts.

“The project from the National Institutes of Health was launched in August and will study the effectiveness of “harm reduction kiosks” in rural Appalachia that contain “injection equipment, naloxone, fentanyl test strips, hygiene kits, condoms, and other supplies.” The vending machines allow drug users to obtain items such as syringes without interacting with a health professional, in hopes of eliminating the “stigma” that comes with visiting an in-person harm reduction facility, according to the health agency.
The White House referenced the project in an August 31 press release on its actions taken “to address addiction and the overdose epidemic.” The administration has adopted a wide range of harm reduction policies, which aim to make illicit drug use safer rather than eliminate it.” The Washington Free Beacon
These idiotic Democrat policies have destroyed once-beautiful cities like Seattle and Portland, and left needles and other items littering the streets. Reducing the risk of drug addiction shouldn’t be the goal – reducing drug addiction entirely should be goal. An addict needs help, not more drugs, crack pipes, syringes, or any other paraphernalia. Just having someone monitor a drug addict shooting up or smoking crack does nothing to help the person be free. And freedom is the issue here – it takes committment and caring to help an addict be free, not just throw money at it.
