According to a report on Axios, Democrats disguise partisan websites as “local news” as a ploy to sway the elections. It’s the ultimate in “fake news.”
At least 51 websites purporting themselves to be “local news” have pushed pro-Democrat narratives in swing states. They use subterfuge to pretend to be local news, using names like “Milwauke Metro news” and even add a small amount of local sports teams reports. But the vast majority of their narratives are heavily slanted Democrat propaganda. And who is behind such egregious plans?
The websites are connected a progressive entity called The Local Report Inc., and the American Independent which was founded by Democrat David Brock, CEO and co-founder of the left-leaning Media Matters. The Local Report Inc was formed in Florida in 2021 is reportedly behind all of the partisan websites. The American Independent solicits donations through True Blue Media LLC. David Brock is a Democrat operative from way back, and has had his hands in many campaigns, including Clinton in 2016. Their “reporters” are shared between both.
The Local Report and The American Independent responded nearly identically to an email from Axios:

We are proud to collaborate with partners like the American Independent that are also committed to bringing the public reliable information that they can trust.”…
Local Report stories have caught flack for misrepresenting others’ reporting in order to cast political opponents in a negative light. Axios
The problem with all of this is that the entities behind these pseudo-news websites do not actually deal with “facts.” They deal in propaganda. Twisting the words of candidates and making certain that only their narrative is shown in the stories is the entire purpose. Here are two examples:
While most real local news outlets think they are objective, it is actually a rare thing. NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC are all run by progressive media organizations and most local news are subject to the editorial bent of their sponsors. That includes newspapers. If you don’t believe me, try getting your local stations to run any narrative other than the idea that Jan 6 was about “insurrection.”
The American Independent and Local Report Inc are “progressive” websites, dealing only with Democrat objectives and narratives. Buyer beware, and educate yourselves with information from all directions so that your votes will be informed ones.
