There is a growing amount of blood on Democrats’ hands for their vicious handling of the Jan 6 riot in Washington DC. Matthew Perna is a case in point. He was not an insurrectionist or even a “domestic terrorist,” but spending 20 minutes taking pictures inside the Capitol on Jan 6, 2021 turned his life upside down. He killed himself on Feb 25, days before his March 3 sentencing.
“Domestic Terrorism Deterrence” – The case of Matthew Perna, 37
As we have revealed before, the doors to the Capitol rotunda were opened FROM THE INSIDE. The crowd would never have been able to get inside had those doors not been opened, broken windows notwithstanding. Matthew Perna, 37, was a man charged with obstruction of an official proceeding, aiding and abetting, entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, and disorderly conduct in a Capitol building. One felony charge, the rest misdemeanors.
Two unnamed informants who said they were familiar with Perna called the FBI on Jan. 13, 2021, after recognizing him in videos posted online. One alleged that Perna purchased a handgun in the previous several months, court records show. There is no indication Perna had any type of weapon with him on Jan. 6, even if the informant’s allegation was true.
The second informant “believed he (Perna) was a conspiracy theorist and supported Q-Anon,” the FBI said in court documents. Prosecutors described Q as a “sprawling, discredited, anti-establishment conspiracy theory” that says the world is run by “a cabal of Satan-worshiping pedophiles and child traffickers.”
Charging documents said the ‘Q’ theory is a “false belief.”
So part of the evidence against him came from anonymous informants. At his trial he told the court that the doors were open already when he went through them, but prosecutors did not acknowledge that fact. The prosecution advised his attorney that they would seek an even longer prison sentence due to “domestic terrorism deterrence.”

His community (which he loved), his country, and the justice system killed his spirit and his zest for life.
He didn’t break, touch, or steal anything. He did not harm anyone, as he stayed within the velvet ropes taking pictures. For this act, he has been persecuted by many members of his community, friends, relatives, and people who had never met him.
The constant delays in hearings and postponements dragged out for over a year. Because of this, Matt’s heart broke and his spirit died, and many people are responsible for the pain he endured.
Matt did not have a hateful bone in his body. He embraced people of all races, income brackets, and beliefs, never once berating anyone for having different views.

Matthew Perna is not the only one to die awaiting trial. The long, drawn-out court proceedings that left many in custody for over a year and subject to abuse by DC Guards also took the life of John Steven Anderson. Then there were the people who actually died on Jan 6 like Roseann Boyland who was hit with tear gas and then beaten repeatedly by Metro Police officer Lila Morris.

Or the man named Derrick Vargo who was severely injured when a police officer shoved him as he was climbing the front balustrade looking for a place to wave his Trump flag. While he should not have been climbing on it, the policeman knew full well the distance to the ground. Vargo suffered leg and spinal injuries from the 20 foot fall onto a metal barricade. His injuries have devastated his life, and he plans to sue the Capitol Police.
Matthew Perna, John Steven Anderson, Ashli Babbitt, Roseann Boyland…the list that reveals the blood on Democrat hands. With the arrest and charges against other American citizens and the devastation to their lives, that list may grow as the travesty of Jan 6, 2021 drags on.
