Chelsea Handler slammed GOP for Florida shooting, ignores role of shooter; Gets clock cleaned on Twitter

On Wednesday, Chelsea Handler, the alleged “comedian” who advocated a military coup against Donald Trump not once, but twice, falsely claimed that Republicans “have blood on their hands” over to the tragic school shooting in Florida.

“We have to elect candidates that are not funded by the NRA in November. We have an opportunity to elect candidates who won’t allow kids to go to school and get shot. It is disgusting how many times this has happened and Republicans do nothing. You all have blood on your hands,” she tweeted.

Handler, however, forgot the most important aspect of this story, and OANN’s Liz Wheeler stepped up to correct her.

“Not a single comment condemning the SHOOTER himself? The murderer? The perpetrator of this evil? But you tell Republicans they have blood on their hands,” she said in response.  “Sit the hell down.”

That’s right — she blamed Republicans and the NRA for something they had nothing to do with while completely ignoring the role of the person who actually pulled the trigger.

The Hill added:

Last year, Handler, 42, announced she was leaving her eponymous Netflix talk show to devote more of her time to political organizing and activism. A fierce critic of President Trump, Handler said at the time she would work with Netflix on a documentary “where I’ll engage with people I don’t talk with enough — people of different ethnicities, religions and political philosophies.”

As details of the shooting emerged on Wednesday, a White House spokeswoman said Trump was “monitoring the situation” in southern Florida.

Trump offered “prayers and condolences” in a Twitter post, writing, “No child, teacher or anyone else should ever feel unsafe in an American school.”

This isn’t Handler’s first foray into the realm of stupid as we noted earlier.  She once called for thought crime laws in the United States, suggested trading President Trump for North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un and blamed Republicans for last year’s church shooting in Texas.  She also blamed Trump for wildfires in Los Angeles last year.

One person told Handler:

Bingo.

At least she didn’t go quite as far as this guy, who once said he was okay with the extermination of five million NRA members
