Was AOC just being stupid again, or did she actually accuse a Democrat WH candidate of acting gay?

Recently-elected Democrat Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez still hasn’t won a Nobel Prize in physics (and probably couldn’t win a coloring contest against kindergartners). But whether she was just be dumb again or was intending to imply that a Democratic presidential candidate who is straight seems gay remains to be seen.

The confusion arose on Sunday, when she tweeted her disapproval of former Maryland Congressman John Delaney, who at the California Democratic Convention, received a chorus of raspberries for suggesting that Medicare for All “may sound good” but is “actually not good policy nor is it good politics,” adding it would kick “150 million Americans off their health care.”

That was all Ocasio-Cortez needed to activate her internal socialist alarm. Calling Delaney’s statement “untrue” — seemingly unaware that opinions can’t have truth value — she wrote, “Thank you but please sashay away.”

Since there’s so many people running for President (& not enough for Senate), instead of obsessing over who‘s a “frontrunner,” maybe we can start w some general eliminations.

This awful, untrue line got boo’ed for a full minute.

Sashay away? The verb plus adjunct, which is defined as “walk in an ostentatious yet casual manner, typically with exaggerated movements of the hips and shoulders,” is widely accepted as having originated in the drag scene, as a shortened form of “enchanté.” It is defined by Urban Dictionary as “the art of walking like a drag queen” and appears in RuPaul’s Drag Race Dictionary.

Did Ocasio-Cortez mean to suggest that Delaney, who is married (to a woman!) and has four children, walks in a swishy manner, or is sashay just another English word she is unfamiliar with?
