In the name of a virus, much of America has gone full on Communist. Vermont Governor Phil Scott has advised schools to debrief students on their family gatherings over Thanksgiving. If it turns out the child says there was a gathering larger than the state commanded, the parents are forced to attend an online school for two weeks. The punishment is reduced to one week if they’ve had a COVID-19 test. (The Federalist) Democrats and communists appear to be one and the same in 2020.

Unfortunately, we know some will still get together and schools have asked for help. @VTEducation will direct schools to ask students or parents if they were part of multi-family gatherings and if the answer is yes, they'll need to go remote for 14 days or 7 days and a test. 9/

And the VPA is aware (based on current data) that we must unfortunately postpone the start of school sports until further notice (we’ll review weekly). I hope adults realize the need to sacrifice to give our kids these experiences and keep them in school as much as possible. 11/

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Some of the responses to the Governor’s tweets were defiant:
“Obviously it’s ideal to keep schools open, but if you’re arguing that it isn’t safe for more than two people from different households to go for a walk together, and banning that activity, how safe are we to think schools are?…Many of these decisions are fueled by understandable economic concerns, but what we end up with is employers telling their employees that it’s too unsafe for them to see their own families, and you will face disciplinary action if you do.”
“You gave teachers authorization to ask kids how many for thanksgiving at my house, come to my house and I will shove your question up your a**!”
“Please consider pounding sand.”
This move by Vermont Governor Scott smacks of the controlling agenda so frequently displayed during the pandemic. As we have seen in recent days, the agenda to control our holidays and who we invite is egregious at best. What is the underlying agenda? Diminishing families, placing employees at risk of discipline, further destroying the American way of life.
Yes, the Coronavirus is real. Yes it can kill. But looking at the data from another perspective and you can see that the actual information does not support the draconian plans of the Democrats.
Covid
Example: A recent study posted at Johns Hopkins University (and quickly removed) by them was by Genevieve Briand, assistant program director of the Applied Economics master’s degree program at Johns Hopkins University. (We previously reported on this study- see below). Fortunately, a back-up copy remains on The Wayback Machine. It was posted on YouTube, where it was taken down, and re-uploaded again.
The study said that COVID-19 had no effect on the overall death rate. PJ media reported,
“After retrieving data on the CDC website, Briand compiled a graph representing percentages of total deaths per age category from early February to early September, which includes the period from before COVID-19 was detected in the U.S. to after infection rates soared.
Surprisingly, the deaths of older people stayed the same before and after COVID-19. Since COVID-19 mainly affects the elderly, experts expected an increase in the percentage of deaths in older age groups. However, this increase is not seen from the CDC data. In fact, the percentages of deaths among all age groups remain relatively the same.”
JHU removed the study because they stated it contained “dangerous misinformation” on the virus. Something we have all heard previously from every media, platform, politician from Twitter to Facebook to anyone else who wants to control the narrative. They feel that we cannot be trusted to make up our own minds about anything- they want control. Period.
