Universal Fail: Steve Harvey Announces Wrong Winner At Miss Universe Contest

Live.

To the entire world.

American alleged comedian Steve Harvey massively dropped the ball at the climax of the evening when it came time to announce the winner. As Miss Columbia (Ariadna Gutierrez) and Miss Philippines (Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach) found themselves center stage as the last two contestants standing, Harvey boldly broke the tension by announcing Columbia as the winner.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

With the $30,000 blue diamond and topaz crown firmly affixed atop her noggin, a teary eyed Gutierrez waved to the crowd while clutching a bouquet of flowers and a small Colombian flag. Then came the moment that Fat Man and Little Boy look like a couple of fire crackers.

Steve Harvey meandered back onto the stage, with a more than slightly pained look on his face, when he tells the audience “Folks, I have to apologize. The first runner-up is Colombia. Miss Universe 2015 is Miss Philippines.”

After what seemed as an eternity of the chick version of the Walk of Shame, both Gutierrez and Wurtzbach staring at each other and into the audience in shock. While loudly being booed by the audience, Harvey sheepishly stated, “Folks let me take control of this. This is exactly what’s on the card,’ he said, displaying the results to the camera.

“I will take responsibility for this, it was my mistake. I can show it to your right here, the first runner up is Colombia,’ it’s my mistake, still a great night. Please don’t hold it against the ladies.”

Needless to say, the telecast came to a sudden and abrupt end.
