On Thursday, the House Weaponization Subcommittee held a hearing on censorship. One of those appearing at the hearing was Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Once again, Democrats revealed their true totalitarian nature when they attempted to censor Kennedy — at a hearing on censorship.
A post at PJ Media observed:
My PJ Media colleague Ben Bartee reported that it began when Democrats sent a letter to the Committee demanding that Kennedy be silenced at the hearing on censorship. The letter was penned by a far-Left organization called the Congressional Integrity Project, a group that targets Republicans and is staffed by many former Obama officials and financed by the Leftist foundation Arabella Advisors.
Committee Democrats, led by Vice Chair Stacey Plaskett, a non-voting representative from the U.S. Virgin Islands and representing the party of Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) and the rest of the Jew-hating “squad,” accused the Democrat presidential candidate of anti-Semitism. Kennedy was knocked for comments he made about the COVID-19 virus and its effect on Jewish and black people.
Plaskett even went so far as to argue that certain views should not enjoy the free speech protections of the First Amendment, Breitbart reported.
“This is not the free speech that I know of,” Plaskett said. “Free speech is not an absolute. The Supreme Court has stated that.”

But, Breitbart countered, “The Court has not restricted the content of speech, but a ‘time, place, and manner’ exceptions for the way speech is expressed.”
Kennedy responded to the attacks and smears against him by reminding everyone on the committee that, “A government that can censor its critics has license for every atrocity. It is the beginning of totalitarianism. There’s never been a time in history when we look back, and the guys who were censoring people were the good guys.”
“All of us grew up reading Arthur Koestler, Robert Heinlein, Aldous Huxley, George Orwell, and they were all saying the same thing: once you start censoring, you’re on your way to dystopia and totalitarianism,” he added.

“The irony of Democrats trying to censor a witness and a fellow Democrat at a committee hearing on government censorship is all the evidence you need to show how true a problem it is. It’s utterly stunning,” Victoria Taft wrote at PJ Media.
I would argue that it’s far more than stunning. It reveals the true Marxist and totalitarian nature of the Democrat Party. These are people who have no problem discarding the Constitution and the Bill of Rights when it suits them politically. And that should concern everyone.
I have said it before and I’ll continue to say it. At this point the only real difference between Democrats and the tyrants who ran Nazi Germany and the former Soviet Union is… native language.
This hearing should make it clear to everyone that the Democrat Party is the greatest danger America faces. It must be utterly decimated at the ballot box.
