There has been another leak from a government agency and this time it is the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS leak happened as President Biden is talking about taxing individuals and corporations more. This is very reminiscent of the Obama administration using the IRS to go after conservatives he saw as political enemies.
That led to a lengthy court battle that was won by the conservative groups. This is now another way to use a government agency that has union employees to target people the White House wants to be taken down. This has many in the GOP reminding people of that time and the fact that the people who had their tax information leaked have broken no laws.
Tax Leak
The leak that came out in ProPublica is for specific people, all billionaires, and multimillionaires. The publication says they have all this information, including how much they were able to win gambling. This is interesting that only specific people were targeted and that it was in a way to sell Biden’s plan to tax them more. It also does not explain the difference between assets and income in the amount of money these people are worth. Owning stocks that do not pay a dividend means a person is worth that amount of money, but it is not an income. Then again, the article was not written to do anything but attack the people listed.

Investigations Planned
Several agencies are now planning to do an investigation into how this leak happened, with the FBI being the latest. The IRS being used as a political tool by the Democrats seems to be something people need to consider normal now. This is not information that is uncovering government scandals but attacking individuals. While people may argue that Snowden or Winner were trying to get information that people need to know in the public eye, this is personal information from private individuals. They are not public officials and are following the law. It would seem that does not matter to the union member or Democrat that released the information.
This is going to happen again and again until there is a shrinking of the IRS to the point it no longer matters. This is also why so many are once again talking about a Fair Tax for getting taxes. The corruption at the IRS runs deep and should not be hidden. Only one group benefits from this and it is not the American people.
