After President Trump promised bombings on Iran the “likes of which they’ve never seen before” the Islamic regime placed their missile forces on high alert. They threatened to take out Diego Garcia, the US/UK military base in the Indian Ocean after the arrival of at least three B-2 Spirit (maybe more) bombers. Diego Garcia also was placed on alert.
The B-2 Spirit Bomber is known to be able to skirt a country’s air defenses, and carry both conventional and nuclear bombs, according to the UK Telegraph. Diego Garcia is a highly secretive military base in the Chagos Islands, where journalists are generally barred from entrance. Its strategic location is important to US military capabilities. One BBC reporter was able to gain 5 days on the island in September 2024. His report is interesting to read.
“One IRGC commander warned that the U.S. is “sitting in a glass house,” referencing the more than 50,000 American troops stationed across 10 regional bases. Others within the regime reportedly suggested launching missiles into waters near Diego Garcia as a show of intent.
The base, which supports B-1, B-2, and B-52 bombers, is considered vital to American operations across the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. It is located on Diego Garcia, part of the British-held Chagos Archipelago.
On Monday, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said if the U.S. or Israel “commit any mischief, they will surely receive a strong reciprocal blow,” echoing similar warnings from top Revolutionary Guard commanders.

The Ayatollahs are well known for their threats against both the US and Israel. Since President Trump ordered the death of Qassam Soleimani during his first term, they’ve been out for revenge. Kind of reminds me of Democrats.
