Emails have surfaced from an FOIA request that reveal a plot by NIH Doctors Anthony Fauci and Francis Collins to silence the free speech of doctors in the Great Barrington Declaration who were opposed to the disastrous lockdowns that devastated the economy. The emails were hiding in plain sight – in a footnote to an end of year staff report from House Democrats.
The email, which appears in a footnote of a Dec. 17 year-end staff report from House Democrats, shows the behind-the-scenes efforts from Collins and Fauci, who were pushing a fresh round of lockdowns, to discredit the Great Barrington Declaration and disparage its authors.
The Great Barrington Declaration was an Oct. 2020 letter that ran counter to the efforts of Fauci and Collins by declaring a unified opposition to broad-based lockdowns, and choosing instead to focus on the protection of vulnerable groups.
That declaration has been signed by many notable medical and epidemiological experts, including Harvard University epidemiologist Dr. Martin Kulldorff, University of Oxford epidemiologist Dr. Sunetra Gupta, Stanford Medical School epidemiologist Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, and Nobel Prize laureate Dr. Michael Levitt.
The emails stated that the doctors who signed it were “fringe epidemiologists” and their declaration needed to be a “quick and devastating published takedown.” And they did exactly that. The Great Barrington Declaration was only one part of the process of shutting down First amendment rights. Within one day of Collins’ email, Google began to censor every voice that did not go along with the NIH narrative. That included proponents of the “lab leak theory” – which we now know was the valid information as opposed to the “wet market origin” lie.
The emails also reveal that the NIH doctors AND Dr Deborah Birx had very different private views from their public stance.
Before the Great Barrington Declaration was made, Birx privately acknowledged to Vice President Mike Pence’s chief of staff Mark Short that the United States would “never look as good as even Sweden due to our co-morbidities.”
Sweden, which famously didn’t adopt lockdown measures, masks, or school closures, has fared better than most other countries that adopted strict measures. Birx was publicly promoting lockdowns that have greatly increased obesity, while privately lamenting the American public’s poor health.
The presence of private views that contradict public pronouncements underlines the inherent dangers of the government promotion of a particular theory as the only permissible opinion. The same divide between public and private views was also evident in a Fauci email in which he privately acknowledged that masks don’t work, since the virus passes easily due to its small size.
So now we have schools forcing masks on children, forcing vaccinations that may actually harm the children, forcing vaccines and mask mandates for adults all across the nation. Just today, the FDA approved Pfizer’s new Covid Pill. Just after they reached a $5 Billion deal from the Federal Government. Do you smell a rat? The destruction of the Great Barrington Declaration was only the beginning.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
The lengths to which these so-called “experts” went to suppress opposing views was right in front of us all. They worked with Big Tech and the media to shut down every opposing view from real, frontline doctors who were dealing with the pandemic. They discredited each one with the help of Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media companies, but each time their attacks lacked any scientific truths in their censorship to back up the process of destroying the doctors. Voices that loudly shouted foul were censored and treated with derogatory statements from an army of leftists.
The complete lockdowns devastated the economy, killed vulnerable nursing home residents in several states, increased the suicide rate, took power from the people and placed it in the hands of Covid-dictators who ran rampant (and continue to do so) over every liberty in our Constitution. Dr Francis Collins is leaving the NIH. Fauci should be on trial and put in prison. They were given too much power.
