As Steven Ahle posted earlier Sunday, former interim DNC head Donna Brazile considered replacing Hillary Clinton, the most evil person ever nominated to the White House by a major party, with Joe Biden, taking her off the Democrat Party ticket for president. This didn’t sit too well with team Clinton, who accused her of buying into “Russian-fueled propaganda,” Twitchy said.
According to Twitchy:
They took their time getting around to it, but a large number of Hillary Clinton’s campaign staffers on Saturday evening released an open letter responding to claims made in Donna Brazile’s new book.
Brazile has claimed she found proof that the primary was rigged against Bernie Sanders and also revealed she considered, as interim head of the DNC, replacing Hillary with Joe Biden as the Democrat nominee after she fainted at a 9/11 ceremony.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
The Hillary camp posted an open letter to Medium, which was signed by everyone from Huma Abedin and Brian Fallon to Nick Merrill and Robby Mook and Jennifer Palmieri and John Podesta.
The post reads, in part:
We were shocked to learn the news that Donna Brazile actively considered overturning the will of the Democratic voters by attempting to replace Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine as the Democratic Presidential and Vice Presidential nominees. It is particularly troubling and puzzling that she would seemingly buy into false Russian-fueled propaganda, spread by both the Russians and our opponent, about our candidate’s health.
Donna came in to take over the DNC at a very difficult time. We were grateful to her for doing so. She is a longtime friend and colleague of many of us and has been an important leader in our party. But we do not recognize the campaign she portrays in the book.
Got that? Reports about Clinton’s health, which included video of her fainting and subsequently having to be practically tossed in an SUV by staffers, was all created by — THE RUSSIANS!
The post didn’t sit too well with some who took the time to read the whole thing. Caitlin Johnstone, a user who describes herself as a “rogue journalist, poet and utopia prepper,” wrote:
No, what is particularly troubling is your McCarthyite insinuation of Kremlin collusion to divert attention away from your misdeeds. Just when I think this moronic Russia hysteria can’t possibly get any more pants-on-head-screaming-at-cars psychotic, the Clinton campaign goes and smears a stalwart establishment loyalist with xenophobic redbaiting for the first time in her life she’s ever stepped even slightly out of line.
Shame on you. Shame on the lot of you. You actively colluded with the DNC in a way that you knew was inappropriate, and your candidate’s appalling levels of corruption put Trump in the White House. You should be grovelling at America’s feet begging for forgiveness, not boasting about how you managed to lose an election with 3 million more popular votes. And certainly not blaming your failures on Russia.
Hillary collapsed in front of the entire nation and needed to be thrown into her limo like a sack of potatoes. That did happen. You cannot gaslight us out of knowing that that happened. Everyone in America briefly considered the possibility that she might be unable to continue in that moment, whether they admitted it or not, yourselves included, and you know it. That didn’t make you Kremlin agents, it made you normal. Brazile considering the possibility of Clinton’s health having an impact on her job as acting DNC chair was an extremely normal thing to have thought about. My god.
Stop psychologically brutalizing Democrats into believing you did a good job. You did not do a good job. You failed. Own it. Get your rapey fingers out of people’s minds, stop trying to manipulate them, and own your failure. Monsters.
“Since Russia is the key to everything, it’s not surprising that Team Hillary accused Brazile of buying into Russian propaganda. Remember that week that the Russians made it so Hillary couldn’t make it through a speech without hacking and coughing?” Twitchy asked.
That coughing was probably brought on by the Russians as well…

Frankly, the whole thing’s a hot mess, and we love it. As a CNN contributor, Brazile passed debate questions to the Hillary camp in advance. Then she took over as DNC chair from Debbie Wasserman Schultz after allegations of rigging the primary came out through John Podesta’s leaked emails. Now, she’s being pilloried by the Democrats for trying to keep a disintegrating party together as DNC chief. Everyone looks bad, and it suits them.

Which is particularly rich, given that Brazile herself has also invoked the Russia conspiracy theory.
