Target? Biden Officials Leak Information on US Response to Iran.

Loose Lips Sink Ships, or in this case, loose lips kill troops.

There are a lot of people wondering why the spokespersons of the Biden Administration continually say they don’t want an “escalation” in the Middle East, nor do they want a “war” with Iran. There’s already been an escalation and Iran is deliberately doing it. From John Kirby to Antony Blinken, they tell us they’re not going to “get ahead ” of the President’s decision making on a response to the deaths of 3 service members. And yet, they have already told Iran what we’re going to target. It’s a ridiculous leaking of information that deletes any real response that would make a difference.

Keep in mind that the minute that attack was launched on Sunday, the terrorists fled and removed all equipment from the area. So if airstrikes target them, they would be useless.

“It is a bizarre habit of this White House to overshare what it is going to do to the enemy. It does not appear that it is meant to complicate the enemy’s calculations or make him fear us; instead it seems meant to clarify for the enemy and assure him. It would be far better to say nothing at all…

It is a maddening hallmark of this administration’s approach in responding to aggression. It seems to think by allaying the fears of our enemies, communicating that we won’t hurt them ‘too badly,’ they won’t hit us back ‘too much.’ We should be making our enemies fear us. We have the overwhelming advantage. We have got to start acting like it or it will keep getting worse.” Rebeccah Heinrichs, Hudson Institute, Director of the Keystone Defense Initiative (Ryan Saavedra at the Daily Wire)

The Biden administration is in the egregious habit of “telegraphing” their tit-for-tat responses to enemy aggression by telling them, even generically, what we will target. Take for example, Politico got the word from the Biden administration on the intended targets Monday night:

Among the options on the table for the Pentagon: striking Iranian personnel in Syria or Iraq or Iranian naval assets in the Persian Gulf, according to the officials. The Iranian government, for its part, has suggested that a strike on Iran itself would be a red line. The officials suggested that, once the president gave the go-ahead, the retaliation would likely begin in the next couple of days and come in waves against a range of targets.

The Politico article mentioned that Biden has been “careful” in his retaliation and that he’s only responded to about 10% of the attacks on US troops. Is that being “careful” or is that being incredibly weak, seeking to appease our adversaries? This administration is so worried about “escalation” that they aren’t thinking about strength as a deterrent.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

During World War II, a campaign was published admonishing the public not to participate in unguarded conversations. They used the term “Loose Lips Sink Ships.” But Biden officials have no qualms about sharing that kind of information with their chosen media. But telling anyone ahead of time what we will target is a fools mission.

The Biden administration’s refusal to make retaliation count for something is a serious issue.  They have made severe mistakes by letting terrorists into the United States at the border, they appease Iran instead of handling them as the adversary they are (does “Death to America and Death to Israel” ring a bell?). They have exhibited weakness and reluctance to act with strength since the day Biden walked into the Oval Office. And by telling our adversaries what we will target, we’ve deleted the element of surprise.

We are playing defense rather than offense, which will guarantee more lives will be lost. When a bully strikes, it’s time to strike back hard enough to make the bully back off.

Except, of course, with the forceful actions the Biden administration has used against businesses, and the citizens of America over their radical “green” agenda. They seem to be fine with bullying all of us.
