Covidictator Kate Brown, Governor of Oregon, hopefully stepped in a big problem when she went after Glamour Salon owner Lindsey Graham in Salem. Power and Control appear to be the reasons that the Gov threw the full weight of the state against a beauty salon owner. Not only did the salon owner receive a $14,000 fine from the state in May, her family was threatened. Graham filed a $100,000 civil rights lawsuit in July against various state agencies and Gov Kate Brown in particular. She appeared on Laura Ingraham yesterday.

OSHA fined her, and deemed her business “hazardous” for her sylists. CPS opened an investigation on her alleging child abuse in an attempt to intimidate her into closing. The Oregon licensing office threatened to jerk ALL the licenses of her stylists – all 23 of them. Only 3 of them returned. Graham is hopeful that her lawsuit will bring accountability to the state for their egregious behavior.
The embattled owner of Glamour Salon, who reopened her downtown Salem salon on May 5 in violation of the state’s “Stay Home, Save Lives” shutdown order, filed a $100,000 civil rights lawsuit against Gov. Kate Brown, the State of Oregon and several state agencies on Wednesday.
In the lawsuit, attorneys for Lindsey Graham accuse the governor and state of violating her civil rights and violating the Constitution by ordering a shutdown of her salon and other businesses in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It wasn’t just the shutdown order that prompted the lawsuit- the fact that the state threatened to take Lindsey Graham’s children caused a huge problem.

As soon as I tried to open my doors against the governor’s mandate back in May, she came at me with the full weight of the state,” Graham told “The Ingraham Angle” on Monday.
“She terrorized myself, she terrorized my stylists, and she terrorized my family. She took every government agency she could, and she put her full weight into intimidating me into closing, including sending Child Protective Services to my home and threatening the removal of my children.”
Three days after publically opening her salon, Child Protective Services showed up at Graham’s home and “interviewed my children without my presence,” she explained.
They “opened a full-blown case against me which was completely bogus and unwarranted, and it didn’t come until I shot back at them with a threat of the lawsuit,” that they backed down, Graham said.
This kind of tyranny should never happen in a “free society.” There is absolutely no justification for threatening to take away a small business owner’s children over a virus. It doesn’t “follow the science” and it doesn’t follow common decency. Oregon Governor Kate Brown had dictatorial tendencies before…but this is plain over-the-top.
“Follow the science,” they always say, but the “science” has not stated that beauty salons are a major spreader of Covid. Getting haircuts or other beauty measures are not a problem as long as precautions are taken. Graham has taken those precautions. The CDC recommends the following:
- Clean and disinfect the following items between each client:
◦ Styling chairs, hair washing sinks, massage tables, credit card devices, keypads, and other items that clients routinely touch.
‣ Consider using reusable chair covers. They should be laundered or cleaned and disinfected
after each client.
◦ All non-porous multi-use tools, such as shears, clippers, nippers, brushes, combs, etc. - Clean and disinfect the following areas or items on a routine basis or at least daily:
◦ Countertops, doorknobs, toilets (including handles), tables, light switches, phones, faucets, bathroom sinks, keyboards, etc.
The conduct of the Defendants represents the absolute worst abuses of power one could possibly imagine. Even George Orwell would be shocked and appalled at the Defendants’ conduct. At the heart of the Defendants’ conduct is the Defendants’ ultimate goal: make Plaintiff Lindsey Graham an example to anyone else who may try to experience personal and economic freedom…
…In response, Governor Kate Brown, the City of Salem, the Oregon Occupational Saftey and Health Division (OSHA) the Oregon Health Licensing Office and, worst of all, Child Protective Services engaged in a systematic effort to harass, bully and punish Lindsey Graham and her family for engaging in legal business activities
