Joy Reid, former MSNBC commentator, host, or whatever she was, suggested that if Iran had a nuclear bomb, the Middle East would be “calmer.” Seriously, calmer. We suppose when they used that bomb on all its neighbors it would be “calmer” because the bomb would decimate everything. Calmer. Right.
In an appearance on Charlemagne’s Breakfast Club, Reid made the ludicrous statement. In addition, she claimed that Israel lunched its attacks on Iran because they want to the premier nation in the area. She used a reference to Texas being polite because they’re “all packing” a weapon. Seriously?
“In this case, Israel wants to be the hegemon of the region. They want to be the United States, the big boy in the block and have no competitors. And their biggest two potential competitors are Saudi Arabia and Iran. And so the idea here is to make them the unquestioned superpower in the region. That’s what this is about.” Joy Reid. Reid’s lack of knowledge about the ideology of Iran is stunning. Radical Islamists believe that martyrdom is the only way to their “heaven.” They believe that Israel and the United States are evil “infidels” and must be destroyed. Whether they could obtain a nuclear weapon within two weeks or two months is irrelevant. That fact they sought one at all was the driving factor in the actions of the last 12 days. Enriching uranium to 60% was supremely higher than a civilian nuclear program (5% or 6%). Moving 60% to 90% was easily reached with their centrifuges. Now…those centrifuges are a pile of rubble.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Joy Reid is definitely not a political genius.
