A great deal has been said about “The Hunt,” a movie directed by Craig Zorbel about liberal elitists killing “deplorables.” As Faye Higbee stated, citing The Film Stage, the movie follows a “group of globalist elites who meet at the remote Manor House to hunt down humans for sport. When one of the hunted fights back, the game changes.”
Let’s be clear. This movie, as sick as it is, tells us exactly what Hollywood leftists would really like to see happen and it depicts their true desire to see Trump supporters actually murdered.
Reaction to the movie on social media is pretty much what you’d expect:

After a significant amount of criticism, the studio says it has halted ads for the movie, and is reportedly rethinking its advertising strategy. But it reportedly plans to continue showing the movie.

According to the Hollywood Reporter:
In the wake of a trio of deadly massacres, the studio is evaluating its strategy for the R-rated Blumhouse satire in which elites stalk “deplorables.”
“Did anyone see what our ratf**ker-in-chief just did?” one character asks early in the screenplay for The Hunt, a Universal Pictures thriller set to open Sept. 27. Another responds: “At least The Hunt’s coming up. Nothing better than going out to the Manor and slaughtering a dozen deplorables.”
In the aftermath of mass shootings within days of one another that shocked and traumatized the nation, Universal is re-evaluating its strategy for the certain-to-be-controversial satire. The violent, R-rated film from producer Jason Blum’s Blumhouse follows a dozen MAGA types who wake up in a clearing and realize they are being stalked for sport by elite liberals.
It really doesn’t matter what the company does — the fact is, they have unwittingly done us all a favor by revealing the level of hatred they have for average Americans.
It doesn’t change what’s in their hearts. Those people are sick and dangerous.
