The Atlanta Police Training Facility to be built was the target of “protesters” who threw Molotov Cocktails, rocks, bricks, and fireworks at police and workers at the site, which is surrounded by trees. The attack on Sunday evening at around 5:30 pm local time caused significant damage and attacked police officers, forcing them back. The 85 acre site nicknamed “Cop City” seems to have triggered violent leftists who hate police to do some serious damage. 35 people were arrested, with police calling most of them “international” agitators from Massachusetts, France, Canada, and New York.
“This wasn’t about a public safety training center. This was about anarchy, and this was about an attempt to destabilize. And we are addressing that quickly. Actions such as this will not be tolerated. You attack law enforcement officers, you damage equipment, you are breaking the law. This was a very violent attack that occurred this evening… this is not a protest. I made a clear distinction of what a protest looks like. When it is a legitimate protest, you have the full protection of the Atlanta Police Department. This is not a protest. This is criminal activity. And the charges that will be brought forth will show that.” Atlanta Chief of Police Darin Schierbaum

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
More than 18 people had already been charged since December with domestic terrorism for actions in opposition to the $90 million training center, nicknamed “Cop City,” on publicly-owned forest land, with demonstrators allegedly occupying parts of the woods at times over more than a year until police cleared them out, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. Violent agitators attacked police officers at the site Sunday using peaceful protests as cover, vandalizing and setting fire to multiple pieces of construction equipment, the APD said.
The large group, some of whom were seen with homemade shields, closed the gate to the construction site and barricaded it, and began throwing fireworks and a barrage of rocks at the officers, who were stationed across the street. One of the fireworks was seen sparking a fire in the grass nearby, which spread throughout the span of the video.
The group overturned a UTV as well as portable toilets, setting both the UTV and a front loader construction vehicle ablaze. Another fire was seen burning in the background, though it is currently unclear what was set on fire.
The group eventually retreated into the woods behind the site. In a statement, Atlanta police said that 35 people had been arrested so far in connection to the attack.
The attack marks the latest from the Atlanta autonomous zone, where so-called “forest defenders” who have been camping out in the woods where the training facility is set to be built are using violence to prevent the building of what they call “cop city.” The Post Millennial
Twenty-three of those arrested on Sunday were charged with Domestic Terrorism. Only two of those arrested were from Atlanta, and two were from France and Canada. Journalists were able to obtain surveillance footage from the Atlanta Police. Andy Ngo referred the group as Antifa.
At least 23 #StopCopCity suspects were arrested in Atlanta on suspicion of domestic terrorism over the violent ambush on police. Almost all are from out of state. One of the terror suspects is an @splcenter staff attorney & another is a Canadian academic. Story to come. pic.twitter.com/aLmtQolEQq

This is video of the end of the far-left #Antifa attack near Atlanta. Around a hundred masked militants already escaped on foot after setting a construction site on fire using homemade explosives. The police guarding the area were chased away with pic.twitter.com/AbTu4PweNv… https://t.co/tbYf9sdrvq

Georgia State Police were called to remove the remaining “protesters.” Yes, Antifa groups are still alive and well. Arson, vandalism, none of those things are “protests.” Those are domestic terrorism, plain and simple. Too bad Democrats couldn’t figure that out during the summer of 2020.
