Naturally, After Facebook Blocks Trump, Dems Trust Social Media Censors

Democrats are satisfied with social media censorship, especially after Facebook banned former President Donald Trump.(C-SPAN snip)

Rasmussen Reports revealed Monday in a new survey, “After Facebook extended its ban of former President Donald Trump, most voters don’t trust censorship decisions by social media companies, but Democratic voters are the exception to the rule.”

After all, the squelch was turned up on Trump, the former chief executive Liberals love to hate. According to Rasmussen, “only 35% of Likely U.S. Voters who regularly use social media are at least Somewhat Confident that social media can censor questionable content in a fair and unbiased way…”

However, a few lines later in the Rasmussen report, the polling group disclosed, “A majority (51%) of Democrats who regularly use social media are now at least Somewhat Confident that platforms can censor questionable content in a fair and unbiased way, compared to just 23% of Republicans and 27% of voters not affiliated with either major party.”

This comes as a scathing article in New York Magazine, published Sunday, quoted an unidentified source “close to the White House” that the Biden White House staff “has been successful in getting the administration portrayed as moderate when it’s the ‘most liberal’ one in history.”

No wonder USA Today reported recently that White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki apparently told CNN’s David Axelrod “that the communications shop frowns on Biden’s willingness to engage with reporters who shout questions during Biden’s public appearances.”

The gaffe-prone Biden can be his own worst enemy when it comes to speaking with reporters. Many believe the left-leaning establishment media provided cover to Biden during the 2020 campaign, and that some reporters routinely soft-ball their questions to the career politician.

Facebook banned Trump and an oversight board upheld the banishment a few days ago. Would Facebook ever ban Biden?

Writing at the Boston Herald in March, radio host and columnist Howie Carr zeroed in on what he believes are signs of the president’s alleged dementia. This was after Biden tripped on the stairs going up to the doorway of Air Force One. Biden doesn’t do social media like Trump did, but he’s definitely out there with messages.

Writing at the National Review May 7, Joe Butler accused Twitter of covering for Biden and longtime former President Jimmy Carter.
