It seems that liberals have decided to use domestic terrorism as a campaign tool. On Thursday, Rep. Lee Zeldin, the Republican nominee for governor of New York, was attacked by a knife-wielding man during a campaign stop.
The terrorist jumped on the stage where Zeldin was speaking and appeared to target Zeldin’s throat with a knife.
According to a local report:
Witnesses say Zeldin was giving a speech about bail reform at the VFW on Macedon Center Road when a man — reportedly an Iraw War veteran under the influence of alcohol — stumbled through the crowd. He then proceeded to climb on the stage and pulled out a knife.
The man attempted to lunge at Zeldin, until AMVETS National Director Joe Chenelly tackle and restrained him, along with the assistance of other bystanders at the scene.
Those on the scene were able to zip-tie him and get the weapon away before he was taken into custody by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Gateway Pundit, Zeldin campaign spokeswoman Katie Vincentz issued the following statement:
Tonight outside of ROC, a man climbed on stage & attempted to stab @LeeZeldin during a rally speech in front of campaign supporters. Zeldin grabbed attacker’s wrist to stop him until others assisted in taking the attacker to the ground. Law enforcement took the man into custody.
Congressman Zeldin, Alison Esposito and all members of Team Zeldin are safe following tonight’s attack. Congressman Zeldin went back on stage to finish his remarks and thank the law enforcement officers who responded to the scene.
Far more must be done to make NY safe again. This is out of hand. Rep. Zeldin is just the latest NY whose life has been affected by the out of control crime & violence in NY. This must stop! Thankfully, we still have exceptional officers answering the call to protect us.

Yes, it must, but it won’t as long as liberals keep pushing for violence and bloodshed in its quest for bloody civil war and Soviet-style tyranny.
