Democrat Adam Schiff has been conducting secret impeachment proceedings from the basement of the Capitol Building. He has thrown out Republicans who simply showed up to watch when they’re on the same committee that Jerry Nadler is on and he was allowed to stay. He has refused to allow Republicans to even see the transcripts of the witness testimony. So 30 GOP members crashed the “secret” chamber in protest to demand transparency (Fox). Adam Schiff up and left.
Today’s testimony was supposed to be Laura Cooper, who oversees Ukraine policy at the Department of Defense. But since the GOP members showed up, Schiff wouldn’t conduct the testimony until “the situation is resolved.”
The GOP members descended on the SCIF -Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility- which is a super-secret hideaway in the basement of the Capitol. It’s like the “Situation Room” for the President, only for Congress.
As of early this afternoon, some of them were still there and had 17 pizzas delivered. Rep Doug Lamborn brought in a bag of chicken from Chick-Fil-A as well (yeah that little tidbit probably sent radical Democrats into apoplexy).

Ilhan Omar tweeted a scathing remark about Republicans not being “concerned about national security.” This coming from a person who loves ISIS and radical jihadists, so there is no credibility there.

The Democrats introduced articles of impeachment in 2017, and it didn’t go anywhere. They did it again in 2018, and once again it didn’t go anywhere. Now they think they’ve got the goods on Donald Trump from a Ukraine phone call and a whistleblower who wasn’t even on the call. When Ambassador Bill Taylor testified yesterday that the Ukraine aid was contingent on the investigation into the wrong-doing of Hunter Biden, people flipped into a frenzy.
Adam Schiff left the room when the GOP showed up today. He wants it done in secrecy, no transparency.
