Lava Ridge is the name of a government wind farm development in Southern Idaho. The BLM (Bureau of Land Management) under the auspices of the Department of Interior has decided against the will of the people to go ahead with the development despite opposition from the legislatures, historical groups, and ordinary citizens. Idaho Senator Jim Risch is just one legislator that is angry over the feds bypassing the people of Idaho to do their own thing. It’s a pattern by the government – lying and skewing the truth.
Lava Ridge: “rigging the science.”
The proposal generated over 11,000 comments. But the BLM decided to move ahead anyway. The BLM spokeswoman claimed that “around 200” comments were positive. Out of 11,000. Why do they bother with the comment section if they’re just going to ignore it? The Lava Ridge development already has about 140 wind turbines.
I warned everyone when your confirmation was up that if you had someone who had such disrespect for the natural resources of America, for our country, and for my state of Idaho, this was what we were going to see. You ought to be ashamed. The administration ought to be ashamed.… pic.twitter.com/UhIHhiBEx8

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Don’t worry, Senator, the Biden administration does not care. They are focused on control and power, not real science.
“I represent 1.8 million angry people—angry at you, personally,” Mr. Risch told BLM Director Tracy Stone-Manning in her first appearance before a congressional committee since her combative June 2021 confirmation hearing. “I want to put this anger for you into perspective that you will understand.”
He said seven Idaho counties signed onto a 2023 joint resolution opposing the project, noting that the resolution was then unanimously supported by both chambers of the state legislature.
“Your own BLM advisory council voted unanimously not to do this. The tribes submitted comment letters in opposition to this project,” Mr. Risch said, adding that The Friends of Minidoka, a Japanese-American organization that “operates the sacred ground where they had a Japanese internment camp in World War Two,” vehemently opposed it. (Idaho Senator Jim Risch in The Epoch Times)
The government lies about the amount of power generated by wind turbines. Wind is not a reliable energy source, nor does it produce the amount of electricity needed by large numbers of households.
Wind turbines are exceptionally ugly, not to mention nearly worthless for generating reliable power. If the wind isn’t blowing (Idaho is not known for regular high winds), the turbines just sit there generating nothing. If you drive through any wind farm in the West, you will see hundreds of them not moving, with others moving slowly. Most of Idaho’s energy comes from hydroelectric dams – the cleanest, most efficient source. There is another problem with wind- the decimation of birds, especially the eagle population. More on the science behind these statements in part II.
The government and Washington state nearby want to remove our hydroelectric dams to save a fish…which also make Idahoans angry. The government decided in their infinite lack of wisdom that if they just moved the edge of the planned development a little bit away from the Minidoka site that everything would be just fine. It hasn’t worked that way, according to Robyn Achilles, the Minidoka executive director.
Robyn Achilles, the organization’s executive director, stated that most of the detailed historical research provided by the group to the Biden administration to enable it to better protect the historic site was disregarded in this decision.
The Biden administration “needs to do a better job and make a real commitment to protect Minidoka and our heritage, or we will be dealing with Lava Ridge and other projects forever,” Achilles stated.
U.S. Rep. Mike Simpson and U.S. Sen. Jim Risch, both Idaho Republicans, expressed their continued opposition to the project in social media posts. Risch said he would continue to fight what he called an “unnecessary and ill-begotten project.”
The Biden administration has prioritized permitting renewable energy projects on public lands by 2025 as part of the nation’s response to climate change. Magic Valley Energy, a subsidiary of New York-based LS Power, proposed the Lava Ridge energy project and has said it would increase economic activity in the area in part by creating jobs and increasing local government tax revenues.” djcoregon.com
“Jobs and tax revenues”- which is a load of horse****. The property already has 140 wind turbines. In other words, the federal government ignored the people. That’s not the most egregious part of this Lava Ridge project. Why are they hell-bent to kill Idaho’s eagle population? Has the Biden administration actually committed fraud against the state of Idaho? More answers to those questions in Part II.
