How close is Iran to a nuclear bomb? It is no longer a conspiracy theory: reports say that they are just days from enriching enough uranium for a bomb. Israel doesn’t plan to wait around until they complete it.
“Iran is now just five days away from having enough fuel to build The Bomb,” a senior official in the region told me.
“If the Iranian regime was to make the decision today, in five days they would have enough highly enriched uranium to start building nuclear weapons,” he explained.
“That’s how serious the situation has become.”
A month long military exercise dubbed “Chariots of Fire” has been occurring throughout Israel for a couple of reasons: first, to simulate the different plans to strike Iran’s nuclear program. Secondly, to prepare the IDF to defend the country from backlash if they strike the Iranian nuclear program. The exercise is also meant to simulate the thousands of rocket attacks and combat that will take place after such a strike. It encompases every section of the Israeli military down to military intelligence.

Iran has been working a large amount of new centrifuges in underground facilities near Natanz in order to enrich their uranium to 90%. They have already brought their amount up to 60%. For example, if they have 60 kg of material at 60% and put it in the centrifuges, it would only take five days to enrich 20 kg to 90%. The 90% enrichment level is high enough for a nuclear bomb. Enrichment of only 3.5.% would have indicated non-threatening civilian energy. And no, the reason Trump withdrew from Obama’s Iran nuclear deal was because the Iranians were ignoring the restrictions and enriching it anyway. As Biden and his cronies whine about Republicans and all of us, Iran has been busy.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Iran has kept up their belligerence, promising to “wipe Israel off the map” and shouting “death to America.” Those are not just empty threats anymore.
Some analysts say that even if they get their enrichment up to 90%, it might take them a year to figure out how to load up nuclear warheads with the material. Israel will not likely take that chance.
