HARPA – The Fed Plan to Decide if You Can Buy a Gun

A new Federal agency will be called HARPA, (Health Advanced Research Projects Agency) and the push for it actually began in 2017. It falls under the Health and Human Services Department. The plan is to use Big Tech companies like Apple, Google, and Amazon to find people who ‘exhibit characteristics of mental illness that could lead to violence.’ Does this mean “social credits” and gun confiscation are on the immediate horizon? It’s possible. The Constitution’s due process be damned.

The concept was advanced by the Suzanne Wright Foundation and first discussed by officials on the Domestic Policy Council and senior White House staffers in June 2017. But the idea has gained momentum in the wake of the latest mass shootings that killed 31 people in one weekend in El Paso and Dayton, Ohio.

The Suzanne Wright Foundation re-approached the administration last week and proposed that HARPA include a “Safe Home” — “Stopping Aberrant Fatal Events by Helping Overcome Mental Extremes” — project. Officials discussed the proposal at the White House last week, said two people familiar with the discussions. These people and others spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the conversations.

So here’s the issue: HARPA wants to develop technology that uses an AI to collect data that looks for aberrant mental issues. The AI? Alexa, Echo, and Google Home. Even Amazon watches, or Fitbits are listed as possible data collection points, according to ZeroHedge.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

If you were not aware that Echo, Alexa, and other smart devices etc., record your statements inside your home, yes they do. The recordings are touched off by “trigger words.” They also note the tone of your voice. People actually listen to those recordings already in an effort to gain insights into their user base, according to USA Today and TechWorld.

So enter the Feds, who now want to use those recordings to find who is prone to violence. Their “risk factors.”

“Creating a watchlist of citizens who most likely will never act violently based on their mental health is a very dangerous proposal with major ethical considerations… Doing so to predict the unpredictable is utterly absurd.” Emma Friedel Doctoral candidate at Northeastern University to Gizmodo

HARPA- Finding “Risk Factors”

The biggest’ problem is that these freedoms that you enjoy will be infringed without due process. The social credit system is a very nebulous and fuzzy system that lacks any sort of transparency. Also, if you happen to speak out against the government or are somehow considered a threat, you could easily find yourself without a job or money and unable to travel – and not only could this be done without any proof that you’ve done anything illegal – this could happen completely behind the scenes. Because there is no legal proceeding, you have no recourse other than to fall back in line and hope they give you your life back.” Eta Onrish

Red flag laws, SF listing the NRA as a “Domestic Terror Group” and other signs of the times are harbingers of trouble ahead for all Americans. Your right to privacy, 2nd Amendment rights, and due process rights, all are under major attack. Perhaps the Trump administration will can this whole idea. Perhaps not. But HARPA is at the cutting edge of destroying the Constitution. Oh, and you might want to get rid of those devices. Just a thought.
