GOP Senators Call On Biden To Uphold Constitution, Not Subvert American Sovereignty To WHO. WILL He?
Obama’s infamous ‘pen and a phone’ were his way to work around Constitutional limitations on his power… Biden has gone further. He simply blows them off like they don’t exist.
We’ve seen it with his handling of the border. We’ve seen it with ignoring SCOTUS restrictions on so-called student debt ‘forgiveness’. We’ve seen it in how he uses federal agencies to chip away at the rights of citizens and companies far beyond any congressional mandate those agencies were given. (Especially for anything related to supposedly ‘green’ policies.)
And Title IX.. and… and… and…
It might almost be easier to list the Constitutional rights his administration has NOT cut corners on or totally violated. What makes us think Biden and Co. would be any different when the globalists at the UN try to claim they have a right to be global police?
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Only the Senate can ratify a treaty… technically. But that didn’t prevent Obama/Biden from finding ways around that limitation in times past, either by calling it a non-binding treaty, or by with creatively subversive work-arounds so that the Iran treaty passed in spite of GOP objections.
Now, 44 Republican senators have sent a strongly worded letter to Joe Biden, urging him to reject two forthcoming international agreements under consideration at the World Health Organization (WHO) that would compromise U.S. sovereignty.
Sen. Ron Johnson wrote on X, “Two international agreements are being considered at this month’s World Health Assembly that surrenders U.S. sovereignty to the WHO. [Biden] should reject them, or at least submit any agreement to the Senate as a treaty. The entire Senate GOP conference has signed onto my letter to Biden demanding just that.”
In their collective statement, the senators criticized the WHO’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, calling it an absolute and predictable failure that caused significant harm to the country. They assert that the United States must demand comprehensive reforms within the WHO before considering any amendments to the International Health Regulations (IHR) or engaging in new treaty negotiations that would extend the organization’s authority.
Two international agreements are being considered at this month’s World Health Assembly that surrenders U.S. sovereignty to the WHO. @POTUS should reject them, or at least submit any agreement to the Senate as a treaty.
