As Democrats allege that Donald Trump launched an “attack on democracy” – but we see that everything Democrats don’t like is an “attack on democracy.” And they are doing everything in their power to make sure you have no ability to participate in anything resembling it. If you breathe wrong, you have committed an attack on democracy. We might as well live in the old USSR the way things are going.
The avalanche of charges and lawsuits against Donald Trump are a case in point. Left-wing prosecutors literally lined up to file against him, and their favorite left-wing judges have helped them out. Why? Because they don’t want him to be your choice for President in 2024. They want corrupt old man Joe. He’s more easily manipulated. And they do NOT want any of you to have a choice in the matter. If you’re not mad at that, you’re not paying attention.
USA- A Representative Republic, not a true Democracy
Basically, a true democracy is mob rule.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
You may not be aware of it, but Oregon has barred most of the Republicans in their legislature from running for reelection again. That is not satire, it’s the truth. Because frustrated Republicans often staged walkouts to kill a Democrat quorum, Dems passed Measure 113- a partisan plan backed by leftists and billionaires to make sure no one messed with Democrat plans again.
While the proposal to ban Republicans from running for office had $2.5 million behind it, the opposition had none. A fifth of the votes in favor came out of Multnomah County: the home of Portland. Put in charge of determining what Measure 113 actually meant were Democratic officials appointed by Democrat governors who were serving as Secretary of State and State Attorney General: who of course decided that it meant what their party wanted it to mean.
The proposed purge of much of the Republican State Senate delegation is a demonstration of what democracy looks like when it’s uncoupled from constitutional protections, free and fair elections, multiparty representation and even handed laws. And that’s why America was a republic, not a democracy. Majoritarian democracy was tried and rejected early on because it allowed a majority, like the one in Rhode Island that blocked the adoption of the Constitution in the state, to suspend basic rights, including trial by jury, as long as they have enough votes. Now the entire country is faced with plans to ban President Trump from running. Democrats are scared spitless that he just might pull off a win. They charged him both criminally and civilly in hopes they could stop him from getting your vote. When that failed, they launched several lawsuits aimed at the 14th amendment to keep him off the ballot – except that the 14th Amendment never mentions the President of the United States even once in its text. You do not get a choice in the hateful world of Democrats. Several states such as Michigan have already ruled that he must be allowed to stay on the ballot. Colorado ruled he had to be removed, although thus far he will still be on it, depending on the cluster of dates and appeals pending.
However, anything and everything is now pegged as an “attack on Democracy.” Free speech is one. You can’t say anything against the powers-that-be because they’ll call you an insurrectionist and have you arrested. Jan 6 participants are labelled as insurrectionists who attacked democracy.
The real attack on democracy is the incessant push by Democrats to remove YOUR right to participate in it. They want to preserve their own power and destroy yours. You only have to look at the unprecedented border crisis to see the truth- they want voters, not necessarily legal voters to keep them in power.
They claim to value processes, but when push comes to shove all they really value is power.
Democracy rests on free and fair elections, but that’s incompatible with democratic values which is what Democrats actually want to accomplish. Democracy becomes an abstraction. It has values and an essence, it even “demands” things which are the same things they demand.
