Democrats were warned that Alejandro Mayorkas was going to be a problem, and he has become a definite problem. He fired 32 members of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC), some of whom were Trump appointees. It’s a bipartisan council made up of members from different administrations. He’s on a mission to remove the Biden Administration from any semblance of the previous administration’s policies. He plans to “reconstitute” the council when he can find a “new model.”
HSAC was set up for members, who are unpaid, to use their experience and expertise of Homeland Security issues like counterterrorism and immigration enforcement to offer guidance to the secretary.
Its current membership included Trump-era officials such as former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Chad Wolf, former Deputy DHS Secretary Ken Cuccinelli and former Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Thomas Homan — but include those appointed by secretaries by both Democratic and Republican administrations.Mayorkas said that Chairman William Bratton, Vice Chair Karen Tandy and Chair Emeritus William Webster will remain in their positions to help the council move forward.
“I am considering how the HSAC can bring the greatest value to the Department and how the expertise, judgment, and counsel of its members can be harnessed most effectively to advance the Department’s mission,” he said. “I expect to work closely with the HSAC and to rely on its Members to help guide the Department through a period of change.”
“Change?” So far the Biden administration with Mayorkas and his “change” has brought a total disaster at the border. It’s no wonder he doesn’t want to listen to the voices of reason that were on the council before. He has claimed there is “no crisis” at the border. He has stated that the “Border is closed and secure.” He has claimed that the border issue is “all Trump’s fault.” The idiot sounds like “Baghdad Bob” who claimed there were no Americans anywhere near Baghdad while American bombers were dropping munitions, and American tanks were rolling through the background of the television screen just behind him. Mayorkas is reminiscent of that – if he denies it long enough either people will start to believe him or he’ll get run over by the onslaught of illegal immigrants.
This entire Biden administration is completely delusional from Biden to the cabinet below him. The GOP Senators who visited the Southern border yesterday are not stupid- they know exactly what is happening and have been calling for a reversal of the stupidity. It is a crisis, and people like Mayorkas are totally complicit.
