Dem Rep. Ilhan Omar accused of committing perjury eight times in 2017, could face 40 years behind bars

Rep. Ilhan Omar, the devoutly anti-Semitic House freshman who claims to love America despite calling its citizens terrorists and insisting the country was founded on genocide, is getting a lot of attention in the news days — most of it negative. Earlier this month, we and others revealed that a D.C. mother has filed for divorce, making claims that Omar stole her political-consultant husband.

But that’s small potatoes next to a bombshell report that suggests, among other things, that Ilhan entered the U.S. in 1995 fraudulently, falsely claiming to be a member of the “Omar” family. From Scott Johnson of Powerline via PJ Media’s David Steinberg:

That is not her family. The Omar family is a second, unrelated family which was being granted asylum by the United States. The Omars allowed Ilhan, her genetic sister Sahra, and her genetic father Nur Said to use false names to apply for asylum as members of the Omar family.

Ilhan’s genetic family split up at this time. … [T]hree received asylum in the United States, while Ilhan’s three other siblings — using their real names — managed to get asylum in the United Kingdom.

Ilhan Abdullahi Omar’s name, before applying for asylum, was Ilhan Nur Said Elmi.

We now have verifiable evidence that Ilhan Omar, Sahra Noor, and Leila Elmi are siblings with a father named Nur Said Elmi.

We look to 1995 not to incriminate a kid, but to answer questions about what Omar did 14 years later as an adult U.S. citizen.

So what did she do as an adult (apart from the despicable behavior she has exhibited over the past seven months as a member of the U.S. Congress)? “The answers,” writes Steinberg, “give probable cause to investigate Omar for eight instances of perjury, immigration fraud, marriage fraud, up to eight years of state and federal tax fraud, two years of federal student loan fraud, and even bigamy.”

He concludes, “To be clear: The facts describe perhaps the most extensive spree of illegal misconduct committed by a House member in American history.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

A question that naturally arises is whether Omar should be permitted to remain in Congress in the face of her proven “indiscretions.” Alabama Republicans have already answered that question.
