California Senate President (Pro Tem) Kevin de Leon appointed the state’s first illegal immigrant, Lizbeth Mateo, to the California Student Opportunity and Access Program Project Grant Advisory Committee. But then, de Leon is no stranger to controversy, since he admitted that half of his family were illegals back in 2017. Both Breitbart and Fox reported this on March 15.
The Sacramento Bee reported that Lizbeth Mateo, 33, came to the United States with her parents at the age of 14…all of whom were illegals (undocumented aliens). She is from Oaxaca, Mexico. She graduated in 2016 from Santa Clara University School of Law in California, and passed the California bar exam in 2017.

First off, nobody is complaining about people who work hard to achieve a goal. Nobody is complaining about helping the poor. What people complain about is that there seems to be no effort at all to obtain citizenship.
And with the Mexican flag situation, it appears that neither she nor her family are fond enough of the United States to support it. Is she anti-Trump as Kevin de Leon appears to be?

The opportunities he speaks of were created for legal immigrants and citizens…except in California.
