A so-called instructor at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California went off into a hate rant against Donald Trump, his cabinet picks, and the Vice President. The rant was recorded by a student. Now there are threats of expulsion and legal action against the student.
Olga Perez Stable Cox teaches “human sexuality.” What that class has to do with politics we have no idea, but she ranted and thanks to a student, that rant has gone viral.
“Our nation is divided. We have been assaulted. It is an act of terrorism…One of the most frightening things for me, and most people in my life, is that the people who are committing the assault are among us…A white supremacist and a vice president that is one of the most anti-gay humans in this country…We are way beyond Republicans and Democrats, and we’re really back to being in a civil war and I don’t mean it in a fighting way, but our nation is divided as clearly as it was in civil war times.” Olga Perez Stable Cox
Some of the students did not appreciate her views. One student recorded her rant and then was threatened with expulsion by the teachers union.
“This is an illegal recording without the permission of the instructor. The student will be identified and may be facing legal action.” Teachers Union
The only one who should be expelled is the so-called “professor.”

California, like most states is a “two-party consent” state for recordings of private conversations. It would be impossible to claim that a teacher in front of a classroom full of students was conducting a “private” conversation or that it was in any way “confidential.” So the union is barking with no basis for the bark.
The Young Republicans took the video and posted it online. Since then, more students have come out against the teacher and the story has gone viral.
