AOC claimed a Capitol Police officer who helped her during the Capitol breach was “suspicious” and she thought he was possibly there to hurt her because he appeared angry over the breach of the Capitol building. AOC previously claimed Senator Ted Cruz and Senator Josh Hawley tried to get her murdered because they planned to object to the electoral college count.
AOC claimed…other things. Did she lie?
She attempted to explain away her freakouts by telling people she was a “victim of sexual assault.” For clarity based on my own experience with sexual assault vicims, they DO tend to overreact to situations, especially if fear/trauma is involved. But a lack of wisdom on AOC’s part is a common theme during her tenure in the Nation’s Capitol. Has AOC ever had any real counseling over her trauma or is she winging it?

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Her main issue is with Republicans telling her to “move on.” But did AOC lie in the first place? Or is she just an over-emotional woman who tends to exaggerate everything?
In discussing the dark event, Ocasio-Cortez related her trauma as a survivor of sexual assault to what she endured as she hid in her office, believing the insurrectionists were attempting to find and potentially harm her. She shared how she thought her life was in grave danger as supporters of Trump stormed the Capitol, ransacking the building in an attack that ultimately left several people dead.
“All of the sudden I hear that whoever was trying to get inside got into my office,” Ocasio-Cortez said, as she talked about hiding behind the door of her bathroom. “Then I just start to hear these yells of, ‘Where is she? Where is she?’ And I just thought to myself: They got inside.”
“I thought I was going to die,” Ocasio-Cortez said, before realizing that the person she initially believed had breached her office was a Capitol police officer.

When she spoke about the Capitol police officer, AOC claimed he seemed ‘suspicious’ because he had no partner.
He was looking at me with a tremendous amount of anger and hostility. Things weren’t adding up. Like there was no partner there… and he was looking at me in all this anger and hostility…
But I talked to G my legislative director after the fact and he said ‘no, I didn’t know if he was there to help us or hurt us either.’…
…The situation felt so volatile with this officer that I run over and grab my bag and we just start running over to that other building. Mind you, we weren’t escorted. He didn’t like come with us or follow us or anything like that…
“So G and I start running to this other building… and it wasn’t until we get to that building that we realize that he didn’t give us a specific location.”

The Capitol police were seriously outnumbered and there is no reason for them to be “happy happy” with unicorns and butterflies with a breach of the Capitol occurring. Their chief has admitted that the officers were left in the dark about the violence they knew beforehand was coming. But there is one serious problem with the AOC claims:
This is the latest manipulative take on the right.
They are manipulating the fact that most people don’t know the layout the Capitol complex.

For information, AOC’s office is in the Cannon House office building across the street from the Capitol. The grouping of twenty buildings surrounding the main Capitol Building is known as the “Capitol Complex.” The rioters reportedly breached Nancy Pelosi’s office in the Longworth Office Building (also across the street from the Capitol building – laptop stolen). AOC claims she hid in the bathroom at first, then sought refuge in Rep Katie Porter’s office. But another Representative on the same floor stated that the rioters never breached their hallway.
