Analyst to Sean Hannity: No evidence of collusion between Trump, Russians; Second secret investigation revealed

Trump FISA Russia wiretap surveillanceOn Wednesday, national security correspondent Sara Carter told Fox News’ Sean Hannity that there was not only a second investigation of Trump servers during the general election, but absolutely no evidence was found linking Trump or his campaign to the Russians.

Here’s a partial transcript of the segment, provided by the Gateway Pundit:

Sara Carter: “John and I spoke to some very senior U.S. officials, they clarified this. They said there was a FISA warrant in October that was looking at the overall Russian hacking investigation, but that the FBI, when they monitored the server at Trump Tower it was actually located away from Trump Tower. It wasn’t under the FISA. They did normal strategic type of FBI investigations that didn’t require the FISA. So they went into the server but they did not use the FISA to do that. They did have a FISA however in October at the exact same time as this investigation.

Sean Hannity: “So there’s two instances now of spying?!”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Sara Carter:Two! Yes! Two instances so this is completely new evidence and remember we all thought and everybody had reported that the server was inside Trump Tower. The server was not located in Trump Tower according to our sources.

Sean Hannity: “With the second issue warrant whatever the FBI was doing…was that in Trump Tower?”

Sara Carter: “That’s what we don’t know now. Because now that opens up a whole new slew of questions…”

Sean Hannity: “So what you’re saying is they found no evidence at all whatsoever of any collusion between the campaign and the Russians. True?”

Sara Carter: “Absolutely true. They found no evidence of that. In fact when we spoke to our sources who had direct access to this investigation what was happening with the FBI, they didn’t even find evidence of collusion with uh Lt. General Mike Flynn which is interesting because even when those leaks came out and they were referring to the Logan Act and everybody saw this as… They thought this was a part of the original investigation into, uhh, Russian hacking and now President Trump.

It wasn’t. It was completely different. It was a completely separate incident and the leak came out anyways. It was monitoring of Russian assets.”

Sean Hannity: “And that would be a felony as defined by the Espionage Act as I understand it?”

Sara Carter: “That is absolutely correct…”

On Thursday, Circa reported:

The months-long FBI counterintelligence investigation into Russian efforts to influence the 2016 presidential campaign briefly investigated a computer server tied to Donald Trump’s businesses near the end of the election but has not gathered evidence of election tampering to date that would warrant criminal charges against any of the president’s associates, Circa has learned.

And, the report adds, officials are quite frustrated by the media leaks and uninformed politicians who don’t know what they’re talking about:

U.S. officials, who spoke only on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the information, said there is widespread frustration among intelligence professionals who have watched in horror as a normally secretive process has been distorted by media leaks and politicians uneducated about how counterintelligence operations actually work.

“We have people spouting off who don’t know the difference between FISA surveillance and a wiretap or a counterintelligence probe versus a special prosecutor, and it has hurts our ability to get to the truth and has wrongly created the impression that intelligence officials have a political agenda,” one source reportedly told Circa.

“I’ve never seen a case so misrepresented and leaks so damaging to a process that was meant to be conducted in secret so that foreign powers don’t know what we know and people’s reputations aren’t tarnished unfairly,” another source told Circa.

In his opening monologue, Hannity said it’s time for Obama to come clean.

“What do they know? What information was gathered?” he asked. “They need to assure you, the American people, that this was not not spying on a political opposition party just weeks before an election.”

According to Fox News Insider:

He added that just days before leaving office, Obama expanded the power of the National Security Agency to share intercepted personal communications with 16 other intelligence agencies before applying privacy protections.

“We’ve been asking: Why did President Obama wait until the last minute, two weeks before he leaves, to issue that order?” Hannity said. “It’s an order that he did not apply to himself for eight years. And since this order was signed, we’ve seen an explosion of leaks coming from intelligence agencies.”

He said all of this raises “very serious” national security, ethical and privacy issues.

“Until we get answers, we’re going to keep asking these questions,” he added.
