Alleged comedian Iliza Shlesinger: AHCA vote racist

On Thursday, alleged comedian Iliza Shlesinger declared that the vote to repeal and replace Obamacare was racist because Pres. Trump and his supporters couldn’t stand that a black man, meaning former President Barack Obama, was in the White House.

“Obamacare was gutted because Trump and his constituents couldn’t stand that a black man was in their White House. It is that black and white,” she wrote.

“Honestly we can’t decide if this tweet is just really stupid or racist,” Twitchy said.  “Maybe a little of both.”

Naturally, her tweet didn’t sit too well with quite a few people, who took her to task:

Shlesinger responded:

The argument continued:

Shlesinger then tried to change the meaning of what she said:

Note to Shlesinger: “Constituents” implies those who voted for him.  The word does not mean “Cabinet.”

Nevertheless, she continued:

Twitchy added: “Perhaps she should avoid political twitter if she doesn’t know the difference between the two.”

We agree…

The thrashing continued:

Needless to say, it didn’t go well for her, and for what it’s worth, it’s still going on.

Twitchy observed:

We tried to keep up with this thread, and in full transparency even we admit it’s hard to make sense of her silly argument. First she claimed the GOP vote was about Trump and his voters being racist, and then she claimed she screwed up a word, and then she went on some bizarre rant about how she’s evil for using the wrong word?

I never heard of Shlesinger, but Wikipedia said she was “the 2008 winner of NBC’s Last Comic Standing, went on to host the syndicated dating show Excused and currently (2016) hosts the TBS comedy/game show Separation Anxiety. In 2017, she announced that she would be hosting a new show on Freeform titled ‘Truth and Iliza’.”
