The VERY same Democrats who rigged the system to deny Trump due process in his impeachment hearings are playing games with the Hunter Biden Congressional subpoenas.
Not only is Ranking member Raskin publicly asserting that Hunter can blow off a legitimate subpoena sent out by Congress, but he is doing everything he can to turn the legitimate GOP oversight function into a media circus.
Today, Democrats kicked it up a notch.
In the middle of hearings about whether to recommend contempt of Congress charges against Hunter Biden, Hunter himself showed up briefly. Elected Dems made a pretence of calling for an open hearing, rather than the deposition specifically described on the subpoena.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
There are plenty of subplots to this story that will need to be untangled.

She calls him out as a ‘coward’ as he leaves. But he’s accomplished what he set out to do.
He made this news cycle about the spectacle and not the substance.
Today isn’t just the day the House is meeting for criminal referrals for Hunter Biden defying a subpoena. Nor is it just the day that the Mayorkas impeachment process begins.
It ALSO happens to be the final day that the White House has to reply to GOP demands to turn over all communications with Hunter’s legal team.
The letter asks for all “documents and communications sent or received by employees of the Executive Office of the President regarding the deposition of Hunter Biden,” as well as any records “sent or received by employees of the Executive Office of the President regarding President Biden’s statement about his family’s business associates on December 6, 2023.”
The Republican lawmakers indicated they’re not aware whether any such communications exist.
“In light of an official statement from the White House that President Biden was aware in advance that his son, Hunter Biden, would knowingly defy two congressional subpoenas, we are compelled to examine as part of our impeachment inquiry whether the President engaged in a conspiracy to obstruct a proceeding of Congress,” Comer and Jordan wrote. — NBCNews
