Security Breach? Unhinged Liberal Throws Russian Flags at President

Ryan Clayton, an anti-Trump activist, managed to get close enough to President Trump as he and Mitch McConnell were walking through the US Capitol to throw a pile of Russian flags at him and shout “Trump is treason!” How did he get so close to Donald Trump, and where was the Secret Service? Had Clayton been in possession of a gun, Trump would have been dead.

In the video, you can see lots of Capitol Police in attendance, and Secret Service agents as well, but they are not close enough to the President to protect him… and they swooped down on the “protester” only after he had thrown the Russian flags and started yelling.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Whoa. Trump and McConnell just entered lunch. Protester had infiltrated press area and started yelling “Trump is treason”

What went wrong?

The Secret Service took heat in the summer of 2016 for its stringent vetting of journalists in the Press Pool by instituting background checks at the conventions. Media complained strongly about the guidelines, which the Secret Service stated came from an Obama Presidential Policy Directive 22.

The Daily Beast Reported in 2016,

Needless to say, it is extremely unusual, at least in the American context, for a government agency to formulate a policy regarding the news media, based on the possibly tendentious interpretation of a secret directive that, because the content and purpose of the directive are a mystery, is not open for discussion. An official listing of President Obama’s directives mentions the existence of PPD 22 but otherwise offers no explanation, leaving the line blank. (An anonymous law enforcement official told Politico that the directive gives the Secret Service to power of enforcing “access control.”)

Who is Ryan Clayton?

Clayton’s Twitter account under @AmericansTakeAction reveals that he approached Jared Kushner in July and asked for his autograph on a Russian Flag.

Ryan Clayton is part of the anti-Trump group “Americans Take Action.” As such he has been active in “resistance training” – which still begs the question how did he get into the Press Pool? Did he use forged press credentials? Or did someone not check him out properly? Did the Press manage to sway the Secret Service from “access control?” In the kindest words possible, Clayton’s presence was a serious security breach.

His organization is openly anti-Trump, advocating impeachment and resistance.

“Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are under attack with Trump in the White House. We must impeach Trump to save democracy in America. Join the fight today!”

This group also appears to have ties to “SaveDemocracy.org” which states,

“We represent the majority of Americans who do not support the Trump regime and his enablers in Congress. This is where we create resistance at the local level. Join us at local protests and Town Halls in 2017 to make your voice heard. Resist, every day and every inch of the way. Together, we will Save Democracy for future generations of Americans. Thank you.”

Also “Actionnetwork.org” which also advocates for Impeach Trump.

Whatever caused this security breach, the Secret Service needs to pay closer attention to details.
