Gary Cohn: Antifa thugs beating Trump supporters great Americans ‘standing up for equality and freedom’

On Friday, Charlie Spiering reported at Breitbart.com that White House economic adviser Gary Cohn criticized President Trump’s response to the Charlottesville melee and in the process, praised Antifa terrorists beating Trump supporters as great Americans who are simply “standing up for equality and freedom.”

“I believe this administration can and must do better in consistently and unequivocally condemning these groups and do everything we can to heal the deep divisions that exist in our communities,” Cohn told the Financial Times.

“Citizens standing up for equality and freedom can never be equated with white supremacists, neo-Nazis, and the KKK,” he added, adopting the media-approved line.

Translation: Antifa thugs beating and slashing people they think are Nazis (whether they are or not) are wonderful.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

According to the Daily Caller:

Cohn’s comments were a clear shot at President Trump, who took heat in the media for acknowledging that “both sides” engaged in the violence in Charlottesville.

Cohn drew no distinctions between peaceful counter-protesters and militant groups whose stated political goals go well beyond inflicting violence upon white supremacists.

As The Daily Caller has reported, “anti-fascist” groups are open about the fact that they aren’t interested in protecting America’s system of government — they’re interested in destroying it.

A Twitter account that claims to be the official online presence of Antifa, for example, says:

And:

These are the people that Cohn, John McCain, Mitt Romney and Marco Rubio are now praising, along with media outlets like CNN, which has openly declared that everyone who voted for Donald Trump is a white supremacist.  A former Clinton campaign spokesman even compared Antifa to the troops who landed in Normandy on D-Day.

Of course, the media is pushing the despicable lie that Antifa is wonderful, no doubt because they hate Trump every bit as much as Antifa does, and they refuse to report on the group’s atrocities.

Earlier today, Dave Workman reported:

A plurality of American adults believes most reporters identify more with protesters in violent protest situations, according to the results of a new Rasmussen survey released Friday.

This comes just days after Rasmussen revealed that 47 percent of likely U.S. voters think that when reporters “write or talk about President Trump, they are trying to block the president from passing his agenda.”

Which indicates to me that Cohn, Romney, McCain, Rubio, and all the other Trump-haters are simply swallowing the media’s kool-aid and could care less about the truth.

Antifa has also stated its goal is something called “Anarcho-Communism,” an oxymoron if there ever was one.

As a result of Antifa’s actions, a White House petition was started, calling on the administration to declare the group a terrorist organization.  That petition, which can be seen here, has over 300,000 signatures — three times the number required for White House action.

The petition reads:

Terrorism is defined as “the use of violence and intimidation in pursuit of political aims”. This definition is the same definition used to declare ISIS and other groups, as terrorist organizations. AntiFa has earned this title due to its violent actions in multiple cities and their influence in the killings of multiple police officers throughout the United States. It is time for the pentagon to be consistent in its actions – and just as they rightfully declared ISIS a terror group, they must declare AntiFa a terror group – on the grounds of principle, integrity, morality, and safety.

Maybe Cohn should being a useful idiot and get out into the real world and see for himself what’s going on.  But would it really make any difference?
