G-20: Ivanka covers for dad, liberals contract extreme cases of emotional incontinence

Ivanka had the bad manners to cover for her father while he stepped away from the meeting table during the G-20 meeting recently convened in Hamburg, Germany.

Never mind that British Prime Minister Theresa May had an aide take her seat at the same G-20 meeting when she had to step away for a moment.

Never mind that ex-first lady Hillary Clinton back in the 1990s actually chaired a government commission regarding the government take-over of the country’s health care system. Remember Hillary Care?

Yet predictably, when Ivanka Trump had to take a seat next to the likes of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and British Prime Minister Theresa May, liberals everywhere came down with severe cases of emotional incontinence.

As reported by David Martosko of Great Britain’s The Daily News;

  • Historian Anne Applebaum tweeted a complaint, denouncing ‘an unelected, unqualified, unprepared New York socialite’ being seen as ‘the best person to represent American national interests.’
  • Brian Klass, an Oxford scholar who once served as deputy campaign manager for a Democratic governor of Minnesota, tweeted that she was representing the U.S. as an ‘unelected, unqualified daughter-in-chief.’
  • ‘This kind of thing happens all the time. In dictatorships,’ added self-described women’s rights activist Amy Siskind.
  • And Charles Blow, the liberal New York Times columnist, wrote flatly: ‘Why the hell is Ivanka Trump sitting in for daddy at G20 meetings?! What are her qualifications? Who voted for her?’

As The Daily Mail noted, the president had to leave a portion of the meeting due to “a bilateral meeting with Indonesian President Joko Widodo.”

Furthermore, in regards to Ivanka covering temporarily for her father, it was also reported that a “White House official said Saturday that Ms. Trump ‘was sitting in the back and then briefly joined the main table when the President had to step out.'”

Obviously, Miss Siskind must have forgotten about Hillary Clinton taking charge of a White House attempt at national health care, despite Madame Secretary never being elected president.

I would ask what kept Bill from doing that job himself, but that would be crass.

Being the Tweedle Dee to Miss Suskind’s Tweedle Dumb, Mr. Blow seems to be equally as ignorant of presidential history.

It’s arguable that both Suskind and Blow are equally clueless regarding Robert “Bobby” Kennedy becoming the United States Attorney General based off of qualifications no greater than he and his brother John having once occupied at different times the same womb with a view.
