Donald Trump is about to be sued for sexual harassment according to attorney Gloria Allred. The report from the Daily Beast cites an announcement of a press conference by Allred to take place in Los Angeles at 2:30 p.m. Pacific Time. At this point, there is no indication of who Trump’s accuser is. [Ed. note: The Washington Examiner says the accuser is “one of the multiple women who accused Trump of inappropriate sexual contact before the election.”]
Almost a dozen women came forward to accuse Trump of misconduct after the revelation of the “Access Hollywood” tape in which Trump bragged about using his fame to fondle women and “grab them by the p—y.” The accusations included a range of behavior including ogling undressed beauty pageant contestants, forced kissing and various forms of unwanted attention.
An analysis by The Resurgent found that may of the accusations were too old to result in a lawsuit because they were not within the statute of limitations for sexual harassment or sexual assault. In California, the statute of limitations for sexual harassment is one year from the last incident. Last year, California eliminated its 10-year statute of limitations on rape and sexual assault.
