WTH? Pentagon Funds Chinese Hypersonic Research… While America’s Readiness Gets Downgraded

If Joe lived to be 100, it would not be long enough to eat all the words he needs to take back. But one of the more egregious ones came from the last election.

“China is going to eat our lunch? Come on, man,” the former vice president said.
“I mean, you know, they’re not bad folks, folks. But guess what? They’re not competition for us,” he added. — May 2, 2019

Oh, they’re not competition for us?

Then why is our military lagging behind theirs?

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

In [The Heritage Foundation’s] Foundation Index of US Military Strength, Heritage rated America’s military as ‘weak’ and ‘at growing risk of not being able to meet the demands of defending America’s vital national interests’ from growing powers such as China and Russia.
…It further found that rapidly advancing China remained the most ‘comprehensive security challenge’ to an ill-prepared US force, with the foundation citing Beijing’s recent bolstering of their land, sea, and air outfits.
Conversely, US forces, the study found, remained largely stagnant – and have actually regressed to a point where pilots have been left without crafts to fly and enlisters have had difficulty recruiting citizens to field a legitimate fighting force.
…The Army scored ‘marginal,’ while the Air Force was ranked ‘very weak’ and the Navy ‘weak.’ The Marine Corps, meanwhile, fared the best, receiving a ‘strong’ rating – an improvement from the ‘marginal’ it received in 2021.
…’For the first time, The Heritage Foundation’s Index of U.S. Military Strength finds that as currently postured, the U.S. military is rated ‘weak’ and at significant risk of not being able to meet the demands of a single major regional conflict while attending to various presence and engagement activities,’ the report began.
It added that ‘the military has seen a general erosion of capacity, capability, and readiness’ that ‘have become so significant’ that the military’s ability to fulfill its primary objective is in jeopardy. –DailyMail

The reason we are lagging behind China is simple — military preparedness really isn’t a priority for elected Democrats. Even what we DO have is being rapidly depleted as we ship it off to Zelensky. Gee, what could possibly go wrong?

We’ve learned pretty much nothing from past wars where we had let our military degrade to the point that we ended up fighting several wars with antiquated equipment or inadequate supplies for the task at hand.

Worse still, we have let our guard down. Our greatest threat and rival — one that has already put their boot on the neck of Hong Kong while the free world did nothing to stop them, and has announced their intention of doing the same to an independent Taiwan — is launching the equivalent of France’s entire navy in any given year, while America’s Commander-in-Chief is teaching gender pronouns and firing people for refusing to get the useless mRNA shot.

It’s all well and good to smile at how poorly Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has been working out. But that smile will be short-lived if we find ourselves in the same spot.

Not only are we getting weaker, but we lose twice as our own investments are being used to make our enemy stronger.

The Washington Post uncovered evidence of more than 300 sales since 2019 of U.S.-origin technology to dozens of entities involved in China’s hypersonics or missile programs, carried out by almost 50 firms.
Even more concerning, analysts said, was many of the U.S. firms were frequently funded by the Pentagon and working with the U.S. military, while selling the sought-after goods and programs to Chinese companies.
‘It’s very disturbing, because the bottom line is that technology that can be used for military hypersonics was funded by U.S. taxpayers, through the U.S. government, and ended up in China,’ said Iain Boyd, director of the Center for National Security Initiatives at the University of Colorado at Boulder, speaking to The Post. — DailyMail

China is actively looking to subvert us, demoralize us, weaken us, overtake us and eventually, dominate us.

Trump and Pompeo saw them as a threat and ramped up investigations into what China has been up to. China’s theft of Intellectual Property was a threat the Trump administration took very seriously. But Joe Biden canceled those investigations, calling them ‘racist’.

And Chinese professors themselves have even referenced China’s long history of ‘steering’ America through their relationships with Swampy establishment types.

There is also intelligence evidence that China backed Biden in 2020 — and tried to tilt the election in his favor.

Maybe, just maybe, pro-life sidewalk councelors and parents upset about their children being raped in school bathrooms are NOT the gravest concern our law enforcement needs to concern themselves with?
