Biden reversed his original decision over sending no cluster bombs to the Ukraine, and now will do just that because “they need them.” The Pentagon says they are sending bombs with a low “dud rate.” Cluster bombs are banned by 111 countries, but the US, Russia, and Ukraine are not signatories to that treaty. Those countries believe cluster munitions are a war crime based on their destructive power and ability to harm civilians long after a conflict.
Flashback to Biden’s WH claiming cluster bombs used by Russia would be a war crime.

BREAKING:
US media reports that the Biden administration has finally taken the decision to supply Ukraine with cluster munitions (DPICM).
Excellent decision which will make life hard for the Russian troops hiding in the trenches of Zaporizhzhia.
Only questions is why so late? pic.twitter.com/PcEpLp7WGq

NEW — National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan confirms that the United States is going to deliver cluster bombs to Ukraine.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
The highly anticipated “Ukraine counteroffensive” has not been as effective as once thought, and they claim they’re about to run out of ammunition. At least that’s the current narrative. Zelenskyy has promised to be “careful” with the bombs.
Russian forces had months to prepare for the publicly-anticipated counteroffensive, digging miles of fortified trenches with tank traps and mines along the front, the NYT reported.
U.S. officials said Russia’s defense lines proved more durable than anticipated, and Ukraine may be expending ammunition faster than it can be replaced if the counteroffensive lasts longer than planned, according to CNN.
The new capability “will eliminate much of the time pressure by opening up a large tranche of ammunition to keep the offensive going,” Michael Kofman, director of the Russia Studies Program at CNA, told the Financial Times. Such munitions will prove “far more significant” than other recently acquired western weapons, he added. Daily Caller
Why are they banned? It’s that “dud” problem.
Here are cluster bombs in action
The bomblets have high “dud rates” which is why they’re banned
Nobody wants to walk through old battlefields with metal detectors looking for these so they invariably maim and kill civilian men, women, and children long after these conflicts end pic.twitter.com/bUusYpBmTF

Does this make Biden a war criminal in some circles? It really is a White House cluster, don’t you think?
