Some things get taken for granted for so long that you don’t even realize they’re vanishing until they slip right out of your fingers. That includes relationships.
In Biden’s case, it’s a relationship with voters in Chicago, of all places. After all, Chicago is pretty much the ultimate safe space for Democrats, isn’t it? Home turf of Oprah and Obama, with a history of cranking out progressive radicals for almost as long as America has had such a thing… going at least as far back as the 1886 Haymarket Affair.
Obama’s presidential library will be built there. It’s where he launched his run for President. This year’s Democrat Convention will be held there for heaven’s sake.
There’s a reason we all laughed at Jussie Smollett when he used the line ‘This is MAGA country’ in his outrageous claim about being attacked on the coldest night of the year.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
If one city in all of America is decidedly NOT ‘MAGA country’… (besides D.C. itself)… that city might be Chicago.
Well, that was true during the Trump years.
How are things doing now, under Joe Biden?
Well, here’s some footage taken in the room where Chicago holds their City Council meetings. It’s appears this footage was taken at some point during which the room was opened to the public for a town hall meeting, but not during the actual meeting itself.
This crowd seems to have some surprisingly strong opinions about Biden’s blue team.
“No matter who”, they said. That’s a strong statement… especially in a federal election year.
That’s an almost unthinkable scene from the Democrat perspective.
The black voters in Chicago have noticed that they are suddenly nowhere near as appreciated as Joe’s new BFFs from parts unknown. They’ve been feeling taken for granted and they are sending a message.

Interestingly enough, that’s almost the same message Trump took to Michigan: what the hell do you have to lose?
