Appearing on “Morning Joe” Monday, Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., said the worst thing about being in Congress is that a lot of people lie to your face.
Worse yet, he added, you know they’re doing it.
Newsbusters‘ Noel Sheppard provided a transcript:
MIKA BRZEZINSKI, CO-HOST: And a lot’s been thrown at you, like one word answers. Best thing about working in Congress, worst thing about working in Congress?
CONGRESSMAN PAUL RYAN (R-WISCONSIN): Best thing you can make a difference in people’s lives. Worst thing is a lot of people lie.
KATHLEEN PARKER, WASHINGTON POST: Yeah. Don’t they? Lie.
RYAN: Yeah, I mean you see that a lot.
PARKER: They look you right in the eye and lie to you.
RYAN: Absolutely, and you know that they’re doing it. That’s what drives me crazy. You know they know they’re doing it.

Sheppard says the revelation is “by no means earth shaking,” but it does explain why Americans don’t trust their government.
So tell me, why do we constantly re-elect these lying weasels to office?
