As we and others reported Saturday, an unidentified “Covid Mask Karen” was captured on video as she assaulted a male passenger on a Delta flight from Tampa to Atlanta.  According to reports, the woman was arrested in Atlanta.   On Sunday, Fox 10 and others reported the woman, identified as Patricia Cornwall, was taken into custody by the FBI.

According to Fox 10:

Officers went to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and met with Delta employees at Gate A11 to await the arrival of Flight 2790.

Police said the officers met with passengers who indicated Cornwall did something that injured passengers and Delta employees.

Officers moved Cornwall to the domestic Atlanta Police precinct before FBI agents took her into custody.

Investigators haven’t said what happened on the flight.

Video posted to social media, however, shows Cornwall confronting and assaulting an unmasked male passenger who was eating at the time of the incident:

A statement issued by the Atlanta Police Department at 11:12 pm Saturday says there is nothing new to report at this time:

Preliminary Information: On December 23, 2021, Atlanta Police responded to Hartsfield Jackson International Airport in reference to a disturbance call involving an unruly passenger on a Delta flight from Tampa, Florida to Atlanta, Georgia. (Delta flight #2790.) Upon arrival, officers met with Delta employees at gate A11 to await the arrival of the flight. When the aircraft arrived at the gate, officers were able to meet with exiting passengers who advised that the suspect, Ms. Patricia Cornwall had caused a disturbance while in the air. This disturbance lead to the injury of fellow passengers and Delta employees. Based on the statements gathered and visible evidence, officers detained Ms. Cornwall and contacted the on-call FBI agent. The officers then relocated with Ms. Cornwall to the domestic Atlanta Police precinct where FBI agents responded and took custody of Ms. Cornwall. Nothing further to report at this time.

A spokesperson for Delta issued the following statement on Sunday morning:

Flight 2790 from Tampa to Atlanta was met by law enforcement after an unruly customer disturbance during flight. Situations like these are rare for the vast majority of our customers and Delta has zero tolerance for unruly behavior at our airports and aboard our aircraft.”

At this time, there is no word on what charges Cornwall will face.  Stay tuned…
