Got popcorn? Former Rep Tulsi Gabbard, who has repeatedly ripped the Democrat party for its sick policies, has finally pulled the plug. In a fiery statement on her new podcast, The Tulsi Gabbard Show, she nailed them on nearly every issue.
“I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms, are hostile to people of faith & spirituality, demonize the police & protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, believe in open borders, weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents, and above all, dragging us ever closer to nuclear war.
“I believe in a government that is of, by, and for the people. Unfortunately, today’s Democratic Party does not. Instead, it stands for a government of, by, and for the powerful elite. I’m calling on my fellow common sense independent-minded Democrats to join me in leaving the Democratic Party. Tulsi is a former Democratic Representative from Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional District, and served from 2013 to 2021. She ran unsuccessfully for President in 2020 as a Democrat. She also served in the Hawaii National Guard and was deployed to the Middle East. She served in the HI National Guard as a Major. She enlisted in a California-based Army Reserve Unit where she was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in 2021. She was a speaker at the 2021 CPAC conference.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Tulsi has always been what New Gingrich described as a “maverick.” She has bucked the Democrat party long enough that she finally moved to dump it. She gave no indication that she will join the GOP, or any other party affiliation. We’ll bet she stays independent. Which, in this day and age, is a good thing.
