A video that aired during the September 18 edition of CBS Evening News shows Secret Service snipers practicing their craft. At one point, the video shows the shooters taking shots at a target with a picture of a white, blond-haired male, which many said looked just like Donald Trump.
A post at the Berkeley Daily Planet said:
In Brenna’s report—titled “Inside the Secret Service sniper team”—government snipers were shown polishing their skills at a private government shooting range.
Instead of aiming their powerful long-range rifles at a generic black silhouette, however, the snipers in the CBS report were shown shooting at an identifiable human face—in this case, a photo of a white, blond-haired male.

The CBS reporter apparently failed to notice the Secret Service snipers’ target bore an uncanny resemblance to presidential candidate Donald Trump. (Note that the sides of the portrait were cut away before the photo was placed on the target.)
“United States Secret Service sniper team using a picture of Donald Trump face as a target!” one website said.
Here’s the video in question, posted to YouTube by CBS Evening News:
At the 22 second mark, the target can be seen, and it does appear to have an uncanny resemblance to the GOP nominee.
But if one pauses the video and looks carefully, it’s clear that the picture is not one of Trump:
For starters, the hair isn’t right. Nevertheless, many thought the picture was one of Trump.
“These people are paid with our tax dollars and they are using a picture of Trump as a target????” One person asked on YouTube. “Absolutely pathetic!!”
Of course, hatemongers expressed a desire to see Trump murdered by Secret Service snipers.
“Haha someone needs to really do that to trump (sic) lol,” one person said.
“LMFAO They have trumps face as a target!” another person added.
“I think the Secret Service has some explaining to do,” Gar Smith wrote at the Daily Planet.
